We are on our devices more than ever to stay connected. Practice proper “device use” posture to avoid common complaints of Tech Neck Syndrome such as neck and upper back pain, headaches, and shoulder pain. If you are suffering from these symptoms, see your chiropractor for relief as well as ways to fix these bad postures.
Prevent Tech Neck Syndrome. Did you know that flexing your neck forward at a 60 degree angle can add up to 60 pounds of pressure to your cervical spine (neck)? Crazy right! Bring your devices up to eye level with a neutral spine to prevent painful postural distortion patterns #posture #posturecorrection #posturebydesign #postureexpert #americanpostureinstitute

Chiropractic is considered essential health care by our Governor and plays a critical role in reducing stress on other areas of the health care system. By allowing patients in need of care due musculoskeletal pain to visit the chiropractor or physical therapist, there will be less visits at urgent care, decreasing a greater exposure environment for that patient and lessen demands on that sector of the health care system. The safety and well-being of our patients and employees is our highest priority, click the link in our bio to learn more!
Thank you for being a patient of Milton Chiropractic, we appreciate the trust you place in us to help you get well and back to moving again.
A night out at the Celtics with some of our chiropractors.....and the obligatory photo bomber!
Good news! Dr. Jessie Swink in our Stoughton location is now Webster certified! This technique is primarily used on pregnant mamas to restore balance and structural integrity to their pelvis through bony, muscular and ligament work.
Did you know that 1/3 of pregnancies end in a C-section? This usually stems from what we call FTP or "failure to progress" where the baby is "stuck". This technique, and chiropractic as a whole, aims to optimize the environment in which baby develops and flourishes in to ensure you have the best pregnancy possible.
If you or someone you know is pregnant, make sure you consider chiropractic as a way to help ease your symptoms during and after the pregnancy.

Chiropractic is not only good for your spine, but your overall well being!
For all of our netflix fans 😂
Chiropractic does not just effect your muscles and joints. Manipulation of the spine directly effects the nervous system, which regulates our soft tissue organs and brain function.

You may hear a little pawp... 😂
But really?! What is that popping sound during your chiropractic adjustments?!
Rest assured, that popping during a chiropractic adjustment is completely normal! Your joints are surrounded by fluid. When the joints are stretched and moved during an adjustment, air or bubbles within that fluid release and cause that "cracking" sound.
Although the sound is satisfying and sometimes alarming, if you do not hear a pop during your adjustment it does not mean that the joint was not manipulated or moved.

Expectations vs. Reality
A piriformis release is beneficial for those suffering with low back pain. Often times with low back and pelvic misalignment, the piriformis muscle will get tight, and can even press on the sciatic nerve causing numbness/tingling into the leg(s). A piriformis muscle release, pictured above, can relieve tension, break up muscle adhesions and aid in pelvic alignment. Though it may be slightly painful, it is very beneficial.
What is it?
What does it do?
Even poor posture can effect your overall health. Give us a call for an evaluation, and find out how Chiropractic can decrease pain and improve your life!

We're back with FOAM ROLLING FRIDAY!
I like strong and supportive glutes and I cannot lie! Our glutes are made up of Gluteus Maximus, Minimus and Medius.
Our glutes are very important to generate power, motion, and support for our low backs and pelvis. Altered biomechanics, gait and poor posture can create weakness and trigger points in this muscle. When our glutes are weak, all the stress, movement and power has to be generated by our low backs. Over time, all the extra stress and movement causes wear and tear and PAIN!
What to do about it?
1. FOAM ROLL
2. Go see your chiropractor
3. Stretch and perform therapeutic exercises given to you by your chiropractor
**Tip: The leg that is crossed is the glute you are rolling out.**
If you find yourself playing this game, call your local Milton Chiropractic & Rehab and we will help you find the cause!
It's that time of year again! Yard work is taxing on the body. Make sure you put your body in the best position possible to avoid injury!
Yes it is!
health.usnews.com Many women experience joint pain during pregnancy, which chiropractic treatment can alleviate.
FOAM ROLLER FRIDAY!
Rolling into the weekend taking about the IT Band!
What is the IT Band?!
The IT Band or iliotibial band, is a thick fascial layer that is responsible for stabilizing the pelvis and knee. It can become tight from a lot of running, jumping or from hip and knee dysfunction. Chiropractic manipulation of the pelvis in combination with foam rolling and stretching can alleviate IT tightness that causes pain on the lateral thigh.
Did you know that D.D. Palmer performed the first chiropractic adjustment TODAY in 1895?! Happy 124th Birthday Chiropractic!
