Where has March gone???

It’s been such a crazy few weeks that I totally missed the release of the fabulous Entwined Tank from .

This tunisian tank was such a joy to make, and I’m so in love with the green! This was my first time doing Tunisian Cables, and I’m happy to report they are way easier than I expected! And the result is just amazing! While I am sorely late to the release party, it’s never too late to grab your copy of the pattern and get to work on a new Spring Tank!

This last month has been so incredibly productive! I got in the groove and haven’t stopped. It hasn’t been super productive crochet-wise, but my house is loving the spring cleaning, purging and organizing. I even got my office to a better, now not only usuable, but relaxing state, complete with a cozy nook! Hubby said he never thought he’d see the day... I knew it would come but not without a lot of work and I put in the work and am loving the result! Just in time for a new Month. This year is flying by!

I couldn’t resist making another in this beautiful yarn I picked up in Dublin, Ireland last year, and it looks amazing! How cute is that fun blue fur pom too?!? 😍

Another of my favorite beanie patterns has been on repeat over here in my attempt to finally use some of the beautiful hand dyed yarn I have sitting on my shelves. The goal has been to make hats that match my jackets first and purple has been a theme for sure.

The Paradise Beanie from was one of those beanies that looked cute and then blew me away once it was complete and has since been one of my absolute favorites! So much so that I’ve made two (maybe three….. I’ve honestly lost count of late!) in the last couple of weeks including this one in the super fun colorway from called Okey Dokey Artichokey! 😂 Even hubby commented on how fun this colorway is and how wonderfully this pattern accentuates it.

I sure am a big fan of both this beanie, and this colorway! Go check out both the pattern and the yarn…. You’ll be glad you did!!

Happy Friday! 🎉 Introducing the Peaks Beanie by one of my favorite designers,

I love Bulky Yarn. Super bulky, not so much. But hand dyed bulky yarn has the most amazing squish to it. I just struggled to find more than one or two hat patterns I liked using the yarn. Until I discovered and she keeps on delivering! This may be my favorite one yet!

The texture of this hat is so lovely, and the fit absolutely perfect! It was a joy to make and I can’t wait to make many more!

What do you make when you’re in between pattern tests and your own projects? A bunch of new hats for hubby!

Hubby is truly the only person who wears hats more than I do, and recently asked for a few more. So a few more is what he got, or more like SEVEN more! 😂 These were the first four I made; two in worsted and two in DK. He seems to like them.

So much that he agreed to do a glass blowing class with me for Valentine’s Day! We had a nice afternoon making a few ornaments each, but admittedly, he was waaaay better at it than me! We had a quiet evening of wine on the porch and I cooked dinner. What did you do for Valentine’s Day???

Crochet life has been slow here so I’ve been using the time to use up some yarn I’ve been holding onto. I’ve been making hats like crazy!

One of my longtime to-dos was to use my leftover yarn from my Full Fade Cowl to make a matching hat. It only took me 3+ years but I finally did it! Took awhile to decide on a pattern that would look good color blocked, and even when I did, I only had so much of each colorway.

I decided on the Northern Forest Beanie from am I just love how it turned out! Since the yarn was DK weight, I did have to go down a hook size or two but with my small head, it fit me perfectly as written.

Besides crochet, I’ve been diving into those unfinished home projects that have been sitting around for as long as or longer than this yarn too! 😂 But it feels so good to get things done and my home is that much better as a result. It’s been a nice way to survive these cold winter months and improve my mood!

Introducing the Oblique sweater, by .loops , just 2 months late! 🫣

This sweater almost got the best of me a few times, but in the end, I love how it turned out! This tunisian colorblock sweater gives you so many options to customize the color placement, and make it your own. I was going for fall colors, but didn’t get it finished in the fall! The drape is absolutely lovely and the sweater is so cozy! And, while mine is Tunisian Crochet, there is also a knit version too! Go grab your copy!

I am grossly late in this post and Jen at .loops has been very gracious with me. When the pattern released, I was battling my second headcold in a month and it was just days before the holidays and our trip to Spain so posting just fell off the radar. Now that we are back and I’ve finally gotten Christmas all packed up and put away, and life is getting back into a normal rhythm, this beauty deserved to be shared!

Another December pattern release happened while I was sick in bed; The Beckett Beanie by and best of all - it’s free! Check it out along with a few other gems on the blog.

Made with bulky yarn, this double brim beanie is a quick and easy make. It’s a great unisex beanie, and seriously looks great on everyone! Did I mention that it’s FREE? What’s not to love?

As promised, a few more photos from our holiday Spain trip. Christmas was spent in Barcelona, and seeing ALL the Gaudi works and wow! So much to see! The Sagrada Familia was my favorite and I’m not normally a “visit a cathedral” kinda girl. It’s still under construction today, after 140 years! Truly a work of art and a must see!

We attended a symphony at the beautiful Palau de la Musica Catana, and had a day trip to the mountain town of Monserratt with a wine tasting in the wine cellar and tasted wines directly from the barrel. Hubby made a new friend at a lovely whiskey bar near our hotel, and he made me a lovely whiskey pear cocktail! I love Christmas lights and Barcelona truly delivered on some fantastic holiday lights!

It rained a lot in Barcelona which altered our plans some, plus I was still recovering from my second illness those first few days. Regardless, we had a wonderful time and it just means we need to go back!

Happy New Year! 🎆

It was a whirlwind end to 2025; getting sick back to back before Christmas; then travel; I am VERY behind on posting and super late in introducing:

The Main Character Scarf from . The pattern is an easy, meditative repeat; great for using up those minis in your stash abs great for beginners as well. Check out the other testers amazing versions for inspiration and Go grab your copy!

Hubby and I just returned from our annual holiday travels, this year to Spain! We visited Barcelona for Christmas to take in all of Gaudi’s masterpieces, as well as explore the beautiful town. It rained a lot which did alter some of our plans, but we enjoyed a Christmas Day symphony of the Nutcracker music at the BEAUTIFUL concert hall, and a day trip to Monserratt with a private wine tasting.

Next was Madrid for New Years Eve! We started with a food tour to help acclimate and met some wonderful people, and then visited all the sites and explored the town. New Years Eve was spent with the locals at a restaurant for an 11 course, 4 hour dinner, complete with New Years countdown, Cava and of course eating the 12 grapes!

Lastly, was Seville, my favorite! Seville was smaller and packed with holiday festiveness and Christmas lights EVERYWHERE! It’s a beautiful, walkable little town with so much to see! We visited all the sites, explored and ate our way through this amazing little town! A private day trip to Ronda and the white villages of Zahara and Grazalema rounded out an amazing time!

We headed Back to Barcelona for one last night before flying home yesterday, tired but full of amazing memories and many photos! Had a tough time narrowing down the photos so expect to see more in the coming days!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🎄🎶

Remember those Christmas Stockings I was working on a few months ago? They’re done and proudly hanging their new home!

They were a labor of love; I only hope they are loved in return as they hang on the mantle each year! And one will be traveling to Germany to live out the rest of its days as a souvenir of a year spent in the US as part of this sweet family!

I’m so pleased with how these turned out! Maybe someday I’ll make some for me!
