You spilled your drink as a kid.
You sucked your fingers.
Everyone said, “No big deal. You’ll grow out of it.”
Fast forward.
High school.
Orthodontic treatment is complete.
The smile looks great.
But eating or drinking in front of friends still feels stressful.
Because straight teeth don’t always mean healthy oral function.
Swallowing patterns, lip seal, tongue posture, and breathing habits develop early—and when they don’t change, they can affect eating, speech, and confidence long after braces come off.
This is why orofacial myofunctional therapy focuses on function, not just alignment.
Not to assign blame—but to understand the why behind the struggle.
✨ Teeth are cosmetic. Function is foundational.
