Nasal breathing isn’t just a preference—it’s physiology 👇

Your sinuses are a primary source of nitric oxide
A gas your body naturally produces when you breathe through your nose

Why does that matter?

✔️ Helps open your airways
✔️ Supports circulation
✔️ Improves how your body uses oxygen

When you switch to mouth breathing, you bypass that process

Where to start? 👇
Practice nasal breathing during zone 2 (low to moderate intensity) exercise

This helps build efficiency, control, and better breathing patterns over time

At higher intensities, your body may switch to mouth breathing—and that’s normal

But your default breathing pattern still matters

Train your breathing like you train your body

PS: If you can maintain nasal breathing at higher intensities… that’s a win 👏🔥

The body is one connected system 👇

Through fascia, we often see patterns show up as:
• plantar fasciitis
• pelvic floor dysfunction
• posture + mobility issues
• breathing tension
• torticollis + infant tension

These don’t all start in the mouth—
but oral restrictions can absolutely be part of the pattern.

And this is why pre + post-op care matters.

Releases aren’t just procedures—
they’re part of a bigger system that needs support before and after.

That’s where combining
Myofunctional Therapy + CFT

can make a real difference 👅✨

I did it 🥹

I’m officially a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®)

This one means a lot. Not just because of the credential… but because of the journey behind it.

Every patient. Every late night. Every moment of doubt.

It all led here.

And I’m so proud to continue showing up with more knowledge, more intention, and even more passion for helping families get to the root of airway and oral function issues.

Thank you for being here and trusting me 💛

One of the things that makes the myo community so special is who we're made of.

✅ Dental hygienists who saw the missing piece in their patients' care.
✅ Speech-language pathologists expanding their scope into function.
✅ Occupational and physical therapists who realized the orofacial connection had been right in front of them all along.

We come from different clinical worlds, and we bring all of it into this work. That multidisciplinary foundation is what makes myo therapy so powerful, and what makes the collaboration between practitioners so meaningful.

It's also what makes building your professional network so important because the referrals that move this field forward start with practitioners who know how to introduce themselves, and what they do, clearly and confidently.

Drop a comment below and let us know your clinical background. We love seeing the range in this community. 👇

You: “it’s just stress”
Also you: mouth breathing, clenching, waking up at 3am, exhausted every day

👀

At some point we gotta connect the dots

If this feels a little too accurate… yeah… we should probably talk

Small update I’m really excited about!

I just added an ADA accessibility widget to my website to help make the information more accessible for everyone.

Features like text resizing, contrast options, and other accessibility tools can make a huge difference for people navigating online spaces.

Accessibility isn’t an extra — it should always be part of the plan. ♿

If you want to check it out, the link is in my bio!
