For some people, the act of coloring can be extremely calming and meditative. Try finding a coloring book (or a printout from the internet) that you can focus your attention on coloring. As you color, pay attention to how your colored pencil moves across the paper and how the colors make you feel.

We go through so much of our day not really paying attention to the objects around us. Let’s take a moment to break that habit!

Take a moment to scan your surroundings and reach out to something within arms reach. Maybe it’s your phone. Perhaps it’s a water bottle. How about a remote control? Maybe it’s your pet cat.

Whatever it is, take a moment to run your fingers over it and feel the texture, temperature, edges, and curves that it has.

Humans are extremely complex emotional beings, and you must understand how to process the emotions you feel so that you can keep your body and mind healthy and well.

One way to dedicate a few minutes to processing emotions is through the act of journaling. Whether you treat it like a diary for sharing your deepest secrets, a scratchpad for doodling or a spreadsheet for documenting your thoughts, recording your feelings can be immensely helpful.
