This is one of the FIRST things I do every single day to protect my health.
I exercise in my infrared sauna because heat is a powerful cellular regeneration signal.

If you’re chronically ill and NOT sweating…
you may be missing one of God’s most powerful healing mechanisms.
Sweating is one of my most important daily health hacks.
Not for weight loss.
For cellular regeneration.
When you move your body and create healthy heat stress, incredible things happen.
Your mitochondria—the tiny energy factories inside your cells—adapt and become stronger.
Your body activates stem cells and repair pathways.
Circulation improves, delivering oxygen and nutrients where healing is needed.
Muscle acts like one of the most powerful longevity organs in your body, helping regulate blood sugar, inflammation, metabolism, and resilience.
And sweating?
Sweating helps your body eliminate toxic compounds your body doesn’t need.
This is why I do this almost every day. Even if it’s just by taking a hot bath, getting in an infrared sauna, or moving outside in the sun, I want to sweat.
I’m sending my body a message:
REBUILD.

Your Gut Bacteria Make Their Own Natural Version of Ozempic

As a medical school professor, I get asked constantly about GLP-1 drugs. A new PNAS paper from the Cleveland Clinic identified something stunning: gut bacteria naturally produce lipids - N-acyl serinols - that stimulate GLP-1 and insulin after meals.

In preclinical models, supplementing these bacterial lipids enhanced post-meal GLP-1 and insulin. Adding bacteria that produce more N-acyl serinols had similar effects. A microbial path to GLP-1 modulation, without injecting a drug.

Caveat: animal and cell work, not human trials. A mechanistic discovery and a target for probiotic development - not yet a recommendation.

The principle reinforces the core story: the gut microbiome is an endocrine organ. Diet shapes which bacteria thrive, which metabolites get made, which hormones get released. Metabolic dysfunction starts where food meets microbes.
