Hi all!
I’m sorry to have been absent for awhile but The Butterfly Doula is still here for postpartum care!
I have availability for evening and overnight care for new parents 🤍

Hello parents!! 🦋

I am finishing up my PostPartum Doula Training this month and am beginning to gather my supplies for Fall 2021. How EXCITING!!! 💖 I cannot wait to support all of these families with new members 🤍

For October & November I have availability for OVERNIGHTS with newborns and new families. The 4th trimester is 12 weeks long and as long as I am spending time with you or your loved ones in that window of time, my training is accurate & I am educated in postpartum care.

Wait a minute.. what is an overnight?! An overnight shift for a doula & family is 4-8 hours of deep, necessary sleep for parents and around the clock care for newborns 👶🏼

A typical night for me with a sleepy family would start at bed time/7-8pm and last from 4-8 hours to give parents some rem sleep & recharge time. During this time I would go through a task list (if there is one), tend to waking baby and meet their needs, step in to share doula wisdom & intuition with parents too when or if needed! My resources, tips, tricks, time & energy shared with your family through the entire shift.

Restful sleep, recharged batteries, happy & healthy babe, clean living space, sunrise & smiles.. 🥰

Please send me a message if you or someone you know would benefit greatly from an overnight postpartum doula 🦋

Otherwise, thanks for following here & I send my best wishes!!

Sincerely,
The Butterfly Doula 💜

As a Postpartum Doula, I am there to support you here 🤍 to be the connection to growth & healing as you navigate these emotions and changes.. I hope to make as much of an impact on postpartum mental health as I can, this is preventable and all too common. I hold space in my heart to share with any mother struggling, transitioning and becoming. 🦋

I get it. I finally get it. You see moms committing su***de. And I couldn’t understand it. How do you leave your kids behind like that? Postpartum depression is what they call it. You don’t feel like the world would be better off without you, you feel like you’d be better off without this world. And then everybody posts, “oh, I never knew. She didn’t say anything. She seemed okay.” ....... She told you. And it seemed small to you, you didn’t get it. Behind on life, can’t get anything done. Everything is expected of her and she’s drowning. She lost herself taking care of others. She’s told you, “I can’t today. I have too much to do” Don’t offer to help with her kids because then the guilt sets in. She won’t let you take them because she feels like she’s already not spending enough time with them. I see it. I see you. I understand you. Y’all wanna check on somebody? Stop by and visit, let her take a shower, help her in some way so she feels like she’s not so behind. Like she’s not alone. Like she’s HUMAN. There’s your signs. Stop saying you didn’t know. Because she told you.

Welcome to The Butterfly Doula page! 🦋

I am a postpartum doula in training through the internationally known & certified DONA International postpartum program. As I am training, I am beginning to gain experience!

This page is to connect with mothers in the surrounding areas of my town to share my training, tips & tricks, my wisdom and my peace as she becomes a mother for the first time (or again!).

My name is Alexandra Kiser, I am a young mother to two amazing, biological babes and my incredible step son. We live in northern Maine in the small town of Rangeley, right on Rangeley Lake 🤍

Currently, I am enrolled in a DONA certified Post partum Doula workshop and certification training that laststhrough July 2021. This amazing opportunity includes a three day course on lactation and nursing to credit myself and gain the extra knowledge to share with breastfeeding mothers.

I am a mother, sister, daughter & friend to many magical & powerful women. As I transitioned in motherhood at 20 years old, I realized that there were MANY things I didn’t know about being a parent. Our first child together was 9 weeks early and stayed for his first 7 weeks of life in the NICU in Portland, Maine. I believe this birthing experience induced postpartum depression. I struggled intensely for the first year of our little guys life with the support of my family and my p*p. I know in my heart that the incredible women in my life made this movement for me MUCH lighter with their love & support 💜

I plan to share the space I hold for new parents in a loving, safe & non- judgmental way just the same that my friends and family have done for me 🤍

As a Postpartum Doula, I am here to soften the edges of motherhood 💙 Of course becoming a parent is one of the greatest blessings, but these life-changing moments can also be challenging and overwhelming. I hope to share my wisdom, training, nurturing & intuition with the mother and her family.

For up to 12 weeks after birth, I will be there to help navigate new motherhood and create beautiful memories throughout the 4th trimester! 💙

While we are birthing babies, it can be easy to forget that we are also birthing our new selves. A mother spends 40 weeks in a cocoon, preparing for the complete transition from maiden to mother. As we welcome baby into our world, the mother is born. A Butterfly Mama 🦋
