Hi! I'm Suzy and I'm an art school dropout. I didn't finish because we relocated for my husband's work 😢
(I'm not salty about it, I was totally on board with the move, I just sometimes mourn that university degree)
But look what I got out of our last move! It's not a great picture, but trust me when I tell you is the best 😁
So much storage! So much work top real estate! Really great light! It's been almost five years and I spend most of my time here, but I still pinch myself every time I enter my studio ❤️
We'll be moving again in a few months, and I'm crossing my fingers and praying that I'll have something I love just as much as I love this in my new home 🙏🏻
I just decluttered, reorganized, and cleaned out my studio and I love the space even more. Such a fresh feeling!
Swipe to see a picture of my homegrown solution to an organization problem: I wanted to move my fat quarters and fabric scraps off of the counters where they were in storage bins, into a drawer (It's just poster board)
I hadn't gotten to a point yet in school when I left where I had decided what to focus on, and I've always been somebody who wants to do ALL of the things (any of my fellow peeps feel the same way?), but FINALLY having settled on a specialty made it easier to get rid of a lot of art supplies. I'll get to do it all...someday, but in the mean time, it's just taking up space that I need. Or filling space that I want empty 😋
What does your work space look like? I'd like to see. Do you thrive in chaos or do you need order to create? I'm a person who prefers to start with a pristine space, I spread out and make a big mess while I'm working, and then I clean up when I finish a project and do it all again (that's my preference, anyway. Doesn't happen like that as often as I want it too 😋)
Show me your work space! I like to know how other people tick/make creative things happen 😁
