Hey Cheyenne friends—I’m on the hunt for a moving company that does more than just toss boxes in a truck. I need a team that can pack like pros, lift like legends, and coordinate like they’ve done this in their sleep. Bonus points if they don’t judge my collection of oddly shaped massage tools or the fact that I label boxes with things like “emotional support mugs.”

Just like in Yellowstone (the t.v. series), Cheyenne & Rawlins are facing a quiet storm. Wealthy buyers from California and Colorado are flooding in, driving up housing costs and reshaping the landscape—not just physically, but spiritually. And the ones being pushed out? Us. The ones who were born here. Raised here. Rooted here.

This isn’t just about real estate. It’s about legacy.
It’s about families who’ve lived on this land for generations now being told they can’t afford to stay. It’s about watching your hometown become unrecognizable—not because it’s growing, but because it’s forgetting who built it.

Cheyenne’s housing crisis isn’t fiction. It’s happening in real time. And while organizations like Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County and the Affordable Housing Task Force are NOT helping!!! We need more voices. More action. More protection for the people who are Cheyenne—not just those who discovered it on a map.

I’m advocating for housing that honors memory, affordability, and belonging. Because our stories deserve to stay rooted. And our children deserve to inherit more than displacement.
