Tina Conrad is a seven year breast cancer survivor and an advocate for Women’s Breast Health, diagnosed at the age of 37 in 2013. Tina’s mother is a two time breast cancer survivor. Tina is the creator of DJ Breast Cancer, a Podcast regarding her own Breast Cancer Journey and those making a difference in Breast Cancer. Tina enjoys running, walking, yoga, writing, poetry, spending time with her two precious goddaughters and connecting with other survivors. Tina has been married to her soulmate, Jon for 7 years, diagnosed only months after they were married. Tina’s story and podcast can be found at www.djbreastcancer.org. i love 1-2 of these gluten free, fiber rich, nutrient packed oatmeal & almond flour based muffins for a quickie bfast. another great reason to bake up your own muffins... you can easily swap the veggies, fruits & mix-ins (raisins, dates, nuts, choc chips to name a few) that go in to them so you have variety. they make my mornings eeeeazzzzyyyyy! i bake up enough to freeze a few so they last awhile and it’s fun to give some away 😉 thx Lauren for the inspiration!

Hello Squad! I am so happy that today is World Gratitude Day 💜 Did you know that scientific studies prove that practicing gratitude regularly can improve your overall health? It is absolutely true & I can attest to it! Research proves gratitude can:

~improve immunity
~improve sleep
~decrease cortisol levels, the stress hormone, therefore lowering stress
~decrease blood pressure
~improve relationships

And that's just the tip of the iceberg... Who couldn't use a little, or a lot, of all of those benefits!

So, in honor of World Gratitude Day, try this simple gratitude practice... fill in the blank when you say aloud "Today I get to ________!" Be sure to fill in the blank with something that you usually do NOT look forward to doing. Perhaps working out, doing the laundry, or even going to work. Then repeat it, a couple times. Remind yourself as you're saying it what it would be like to not be ABLE to do that... do you notice a shift in your perspective? With repeated practice, you will. And perhaps those things you once dreaded will become things that are well, not so dreadful anymore 😀

Hi, I’m Jaclyn

Hello world! I am Jaclyn. Yes, I am a certified Integrated Nutrition Health Coach, but that is just scratching the surface. My life journey has taken me through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, all leading me to where I am today... helping others discover their happiest and healthiest selves, simply.

It took me years of battling my weight, a constant fight up and down the scale since I was a little girl, to get where I am today. I was generally referred to as “thick”, “chunky” and “strong”. During the early years, I did not perceive this “strong” to be a compliment or positive in any way. And, I did not feel "right" for a good portion of my life. Gastrointestinal issues suddenly appeared in my early 30’s, resulting in a lame IBS diagnosis. It was only through trial and error from all kinds of fad diets to a bevy of workouts, to self care, motherhood, and eventually, self acceptance that I truly found my best self... my happiest self, which I believe, and literally feel, is also my healthiest self. My personal experiences combined with my health coach and fitness educations has prepared me to coach women through their own transformations in discovering their happiest and healthiest selves, one day at a time.

If you are ready for a lifelong change, I can guide you step by step in transforming your daily life to match your vision. As a Health Coach, we will explore your health & fitness goals together. We’ll look at your previous trials & errors to discover what truly works best for who you are now. We will take a holistic approach by incorporating various aspects of your life from diet to exercise, home cooking, spirituality, career, relationships and possibly much more. All these areas of your life are so important as they are the underlying reason for why we choose to eat the foods we do. Mix in nutritional education, exercises and goal setting and this is a potentially life changing transformation for you. Transformations like this require commitment and patience from you and nonjudgmental support from me.
