Hello!

My name is Bryan, I’m a veteran of the U.S. Army and a dedicated mental health professional with a background in psychology and social work. I hold master’s degrees in both Social Work and Psychology and am currently completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
My work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach, supported by evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Play Therapy, and Family Systems. I bring a trauma-informed lens to my work with children, adolescents, and adults, helping individuals and families navigate complex emotions, relationships, and life transitions.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in medical family, and nonprofit community settings. My professional and personal experiences have taken me across the globe, where I’ve had the opportunity to engage with diverse cultures and perspectives—something that continues to shape my commitment to culturally responsive care.

I take an individualized approach to each client I have the privilege of working with, and try to meet each person where they are and find the pace that works best for them and their unique situation.

Meet Bethany Cates. She is one of our trainees.

Hi! My name is Bethany and I’m a trainee at Creekside and a graduate student in National University’s Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program.

I’m committed to providing my clients with a safe and healing space to work through life’s challenges. I primarily use motivational interviewing and emotionally-focused therapeutic approaches in working with clients and addressing the relationships they have in their lives.

Outside of work and school, I spend most of my time with my little family. I love travel, live music, being in nature, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with friends.

Meet Nicole Ross. She is one of our MFT trainees

Hi! I am Nicole Ross a MFT trainee.

I am currently finishing my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University and am working towards becoming a Licensed MFT. I spent 10 years helping people become healthier versions of themselves through exercise and wellness. I am very passionate about helping others live a healthier, happier, life.

Life can be challenging, we all face experiences in our lives that feel overwhelming and difficult, I am passionate about walking beside you as you navigate through the ups and downs of life. Our thoughts about ourselves and our world, early childhood experiences, interpersonal patterns, and our behaviors impact our lives and our experiences. I draw from CBT, reality therapy, mindfulness, and person centered therapy to create an intervention plan that best suits each individual that walks into the therapy room. I find great joy in empowering people to identify problem areas in their life and make the changes needed for their unique life experiences.

I am here to provide a safe, judgement free, respectful, and collaborative environment where healing and growth can take place.

Meet Bryan Adam's. He is currently an MSW student and accepting clients

Welcome! I'm Bryan Adams, and I would be honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.

I am a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where I served as an infantryman and airborne ranger. My military background instilled in me a sense of discipline, resilience, and a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans. These experiences have shaped my passion for supporting those who have served, though I am open and eager to work with individuals from all walks of life.

I have completed a Master's Degree in Psychology with a focus on Development and Personality. Currently, I am completing a Master's Degree in Social Work while training at Creekside, where I am gaining hands-on experience and building the skills necessary to serve my clients effectively. Over the past three years, I have worked as a social worker in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama Counties, providing support to a wide range of individuals, from children and families to veterans and first responders.

My approach is direct and grounded in humanistic principles, which means I believe in every individual's inherent worth and potential. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly.

Whether you're facing life transitions, coping with trauma, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to walk alongside you, offering empathy, insight, and practical strategies tailored to your needs. I look forward to working with you and helping you navigate life's challenges and opportunities.

Serving Shasta County

Creekside Counseling Center was developed in 1998 by Connie Callahan and Keith Manner for the purpose of providing high quality mental health services to the citizens of Shasta County. In 2003 Creekside Counseling Center was developed into a California Non-Profit Corporation to provide mental health services to children, teens, and adults in the Redding area. The staff of Creekside Counseling Center provide group and individual counseling services treating a wide variety of mental health concerns. We conduct critical incident debriefings, psycho education presentations, and crisis interventions.
