Prescription Pets has been coming for visits for more than 10 years. The facility has gone through a few name changes since then but these volunteers have never wavered. We would love to thank each of them and their dogs for bringing so much joy to our residents. We love the licks and tricks!

Thanks to our nurse Jessica and her husband Anthony for bringing in some of their farm animals 💖💖💖 The residents and staff enjoyed the visit today!!! We are very appreciative of special visits like these. Now the residents and staff are asking for a QHPA support pig and goat to go along with all the turkeys who roam outside the building!

RODEO Day was a hit and it was the last day of celebration for National Nursing Home Week! Decorations were amazing!!! The River City Senior Line Dancers performed. Then there was the chili cook off with 10 contestants and 3 judges. Afterwards were the games: ax throwing, barrel racing, and chicken VS hotdog 😂 Ended the day with Lickety splits ice cream treats. An amazing week! Now we’re all tired and can’t wait to go back to our normal week. Thanks everyone, it was a blast!!!

Wednesday meant SPACE day and it was a wild time for the residents and staff! The lightsaber battles were crazy fun and the mooncake walk was sweet for all the residents and staff. So many cupcakes and donations from generous vendors were greatly appreciated 🙏 Thank you so much 😊

Tuesday was Beach Tourist day and it was an awesome day of laughter and fun. There was bagels thanks to our donor and snacks. We had games and prizes for residents and staff such as the scavenger hunt, beachball soccer and the great chanclas toss (flipflops in Spanish). To finish off the day we served up snow cones! What a terrific day for all to celebrate 🎉
