A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Redlands Holiday Book Drive!

We had the best time at storytime with our very own Dr. Amy Young, who shared some wonderful stories with the little ones. Because of your incredible generosity, Barnes & Noble has donated thousands of books to RICA (Resiliency Institute for Childhood Adversity)!

These donations even inspired us to build a brand-new library right inside our clinic! Now, we can keep this tradition going all year long, ensuring every child who walks through our doors leaves with a book of their own.

On behalf of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and the RICA team, thank you for helping us write a brighter chapter for our community!

We are beyond grateful to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the amazing community members who stepped up to fill our halls with joy this holiday season. These toys represent a community that cares deeply about the healing and happiness of children overcoming adversity.

A massive thank you to the San Bernardino Police Department for their incredible donation of toys to the Resiliency Institute!

Partnerships like this are what building a resilient community is all about. It means the world to us—and even more to the kids at our pediatric clinic—to have our local officers supporting the cause and helping us stock our shelves.

We are still buzzing from the incredible turnout at our first annual RICA Toy Drive! The photos told one part of the story, but this video captures the real energy of the day—from the roar of the motorcycles to the smiles on the kids’ faces.

We set out to ensure every child at the Resiliency Institute gets a gift this December, and thanks to this amazing community, we made it happen. Watching everyone come together—including special guests Vic Slick and Ami Davis—was a reminder of why we do what we do.

We’re already looking forward to making next year even bigger!

Building joy for the 3rd year in a row! We are proud to come together once again to make the holidays brighter for the children of San Bernardino County. For the third consecutive year, the team at and the Apprenticeship Program arrived at the Children’s Assessment Center with a trailer full of gifts and gratitude. Because of this ongoing partnership, we aren’t just covering the holidays—this donation is large enough to ensure children visiting the center get gifts for their birthdays all year long!

When our community unites, incredible things happen.

Status update: Currently buried under 9 boxes of toys. Send help... or wrapping paper! 📦😂

We jammed our car to the absolute limit today picking up a donation from the Children’s Foundation of America. It was a tight squeeze, but we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure the kids at RICA have a magical Christmas! Thank you !!
