Sometimes we think strong faith means we should feel calm, peaceful, and positive all the time.

But the Bible never asks us to stop having emotions.

Instead, over and over, Scripture shows God meeting people right in the middle of them — anxiety, exhaustion, sadness, anger, fear, joy, and confusion.

Your emotions are not a failure of faith.
They are part of being human.

God created them, and He invites us to bring them to Him instead of pretending they don’t exist.

Faith isn’t emotional suppression.
It’s emotional honesty with God.

So feel the emotion.
Pray through it.
And let God meet you there.

Save this for the days when your feelings feel loud, and send it to a friend who might need the reminder today. 🤍

Hi, I’m Lauretta 👋

If you’re new here, welcome.

I’m an ADHD mom who loves Jesus, lifting heavy things, strong coffee, and honest faith that doesn’t pretend life is perfectly put together.

Around here you’ll find:
☕ faith for distracted brains
🏋️‍♀️ stewarding our bodies as an act of worship
📖 simple Bible encouragement for busy moms
🌊 a little humor and a lot of grace for the messy middle of life

I believe faith isn’t about having everything figured out.
It’s about showing up imperfectly, loving Jesus anyway, and letting Him shape us little by little.

If that sounds like your kind of corner of the internet, I’m really glad you’re here.

Stick around, say hi, and tell me:
Are you here more for faith, fitness, or ADHD solidarity?

Sunshine, sea, sweets, scripture… and SCoffee because my ADHD brain needed another “S.” ☕️

A little salty air, a little sugar, a little time with Jesus, and enough caffeine to keep the thoughts from running entirely feral.

Honestly? Feels like a pretty solid stewardship plan for the day. ☀️🌊📖

ADHD isn’t just “getting distracted.”
It’s living in a world designed for a brain that works differently than mine.
A world of rigid systems, linear thinking, and expectations that don’t always fit how my mind operates.
But here’s the thing…
Different doesn’t mean broken.
My brain may be chaotic sometimes, but it’s also creative, passionate, and deeply curious.
And I’m learning to steward it well instead of constantly apologizing for it.

ADHD decision making is WILD.

I can make the most hare brained bizzare impulsive decision in 0.3 seconds one minute, and spend 48 minutes going over options on waters bottles the next.

My brain:
- Big life decision? send it
- Deciding what to eat for lunch? full shut doe mode.
- Should I book a randomly specific vacation? Without a doubt.

If you ever see me at the grocery store in a random aisle staring off into space, I’m not lost- just having a meeting of the minds inside my mind to decide if I was shrimp ir chicken pasta.

ADHD decision making
☕️ pure chaos
☕️ occasionally pure brilliance
☕️ sometimes fulled by coffee, sass, and the Holy Spirit

And honestly, this me this somehow just works.

The older I get, the more I realize my peace isn’t found in escaping life… it’s found in stewarding it well.

Alcohol drains me.
Lifting clears my mind.
Sleep fixes more than I want to admit.
And moving my body helps settle this beautifully distracted ADHD brain of mine.

But the real anchor?

The Word of God.

Because when my mind starts running in 47 directions at once, truth brings it back to center.

Taking care of my body isn’t about chasing perfection.
It’s about honoring the body God gave me and building a life that actually supports my faith.

A little stronger.
A little calmer.
A little more grounded in Him every day.

PS: If you’re an ADHD mama trying to figure out faith + fitness + real life… you’re in the right place. 🤍

This morning I made coffee, sat down to pray… and immediately remembered 19 random things I “should probably do today.”
When your mind is Loud…. God still speaks

My brain loves to sprint at 6am. 🙃
But here’s what I’m learning: God isn’t waiting for me to quiet every thought — He meets me inside of them.

1 Kings 19:12 says God wasn’t in the wind, or fire, or earthquake…
He came in a whisper.

Sometimes it’s one verse.
Sometimes it’s two squats while the coffee reheats again.
Sometimes it’s just “God, please help my mind slow down for a minute.”

Tiny prayers count. Tiny focus counts. Tiny faithfulness counts.

If your brain has 52 tabs open, and you’re already refilling your mug…

God can still speak through the noise. 🤍
You’re not too distracted for Him.

Comment ☕️ if you’re starting today with coffee + grace.
