COPE Certified Health Coach
COPE stands for Center for Obesity Prevention and Education that was established by the College of Nursing at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. It was established in 2011 due to the epidemic level of obesity rates in the United States that impact people of all ages, races and socioeconomic levels. The rise in obesity and its related diseases has led to a call to action from all segments of society. Our mission is to serve as a model for education and research that promotes healthy weight management and the prevention and reduction of obesity-related diseases across the life-cycle.
