What if exhaustion isn’t a failure but a message? And what if your next chapter doesn’t require burning your life down, but listening to your body?

I’m thrilled to share this powerful podcast interview I did over on Midlife Strategies for Badass Women hosted by ✨

In it, we discuss how women can reconnect with their bodies, follow the breadcrumbs of curiosity, and experiment their way to purpose without pressure.

Confession: Most of the goal-setting workshop invites I'm seeing in my inbox make me wanna barf. 🤢

I mean, can we ditch traditional goal setting already?

SMART goals and kanban boards may have gotten you success in your professional career…

But: if you want your secret dream to claw its way out from under that pile of “shoulds” and to-dos, you gotta do something different.

And I’m NOT talking about a vision board splattered with random magazine clippings that look pretty but don’t work.

(Because let’s be real, last year’s vision board died in a drawer sometime back in March. 💀 RIP.)

Here's what we'll do instead...

When I was working in tech, I had a “successful” job on the outside, but internally, I craved a deeper sense of purpose, fulfillment, and life satisfaction.

But when I started trying to FIND my purpose… it felt like the whole process was as confusing and treacherous as trying to win a game of Jumanji.

Even when I would get a glimmer of what I really wanted after attending a retreat, working with a coach, binging a podcast, or reading a book…

Purpose, clarity, fulfillment, and balance always felt just outside of reach or on the other side of a scary leap I wasn’t ready to take yet.

It made my growing feeling of “what’s it all for” that much worse, and I felt it start to affect my health, my relationships, and how I showed up for work.

That’s why I created my framework, The Fulfillment Flywheel, and I’m teaching it in my live online masterclass this coming Monday.

I realized it was exactly what made my path to purpose click a decade ago, and since then, I’ve proven it works over and over again with my private clients and inside The Compass Club.

Yep, it totally simplified the process that usually takes people YEARS to figure out (including myself) and gets rid of the need for vision boards, SMART goals, and a 5-year plan.

It’s not only helped my clients clarify their purpose, but also feel 4.5 times less stressed, double their energy, and increase their time freedom by 1.5 times.

I’ll explain everything in the masterclass And share some real life examples of it in action. Details in bio!

Catch this:
Purpose is NOT a noun – it’s a verb. ❤️‍🔥

After coaching hundreds of women working at places like Google, Microsoft, Meta, and more, I can tell you that the #1 question I get asked is:

How do I find my purpose?

(A close second is “how do I stop feeling overwhelmed all the time?”)

But here’s the thing: your purpose is NOT Snow White. 👸🏻🐿️

It’s not lying around somewhere in a magical cottage surrounded by dwarves waiting for you to come find it. 💀💀

I repeat: your purpose is not something you arrive at one day because you read the right book, traveled to a far-off place, or quit your job.

(Believe me, I’ve tried all three.)

➡️ Instead, purpose is a devotional practice YOU create.

I believe that a passion project is the pressure-free, playful, and tangible way to explore your purpose, build capacity to make life changes, and grow your confidence to turn it into a calling (if you want to)––all without blowing up your life.

So I’m wondering...  did you see my new YT video yet?

In it, I share the 7 passion projects (which can become soulful side hustles) perfect for women over 35 to start this year.

(They’re better than dwarves, promise.)

Because not all passion projects are actually going to give you more purpose, energy, and time freedom... or create the life you (secretly) want.

But THESE do.

I’ve found over the years that people tend to fall into one of two camps when the final 12 weeks of the year roll around…

“OMG it’s already October?! I’m gonna finish strong and focus on what matters.”

“12 weeks? Damn. Probably too late to do that thing I wanted. I’ll just enjoy the holidays and start fresh in January.”

Of course, there’s nuance—but I’m curious: which one are you?

I tend to lean toward camp one. A little urgency + FOMO gives me the push I need to re-center on what matters most.

But wherever you land, we both need this reminder:

📌 The end of the year is arbitrary. But it can still be a powerful portal.

It’s a moment to ask:
“What’s the one project that, if I focused on it now, would let me look back on 2025 and say… yeah, that year was wild—but at least I [fill-in-the-blank]?”

Maybe that’s finally launching something. Finishing something. Or just showing up for something that’s been calling you.

This is your permission slip to close the tabs and say no to the extras that don’t need your energy right now. (They can wait.)

PS: If your project has anything to do with a soulful side hustle or intuitive biz, I’m speaking in a free audio summit next week: Holistic Websites, hosted by Laura Kendrick.

My session’s called “Break the Rules, Keep Conversions,” and it’s a fun, intuitive dive into marketing and clarity. You can listen while you walk the dog or sip your matcha.

Big news! I’m speaking at my first virtual summit 🥹🎤✨

As someone who treats life like a series of bite-sized experiments, I couldn’t say no to this one. The Clarity Code Summit (Aug 25–28) is a free 3-day virtual event all about navigating life and work with clarity—and I get to be one of 25+ featured speakers 💫

My 25-min workshop is called:
“The 4 Stress Responses & How to Pattern Interrupt Your Way to Peace” 🧘‍♀️

Inside, I’ll walk you through what each stress response really looks like in modern life, how to tell which one you’re in (hint: it’s not always what you think), and how to interrupt the spiral in 3 minutes or less. It’s fast, practical, and rooted in nervous system care.

AND, when you sign up to watch my talk, you’ll also get my Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Stress Relief Ritual Kit for free 🎁 (normally $7!)

Want the link?

DM me the word PEACE and I’ll send it your way 💌

Let’s make peace your new power move.🌀

📚💡 July was a full-body experiment—and now that I’m back from the woods, here’s the official wrap-up.

For the past month, I stayed in a tiny cabin with one goal: write my romantic fantasy novel. But along the way, I found myself layering in other experiments, too—daily movement, stress relief rituals, email marketing study (very meta), and a whole lot of lake swims.

And honestly? I’m so proud of what I created. Not just the progress, but the way I felt while making it.

Because when we treat life as a series of playful experiments—not rigid goals—we unlock a kind of momentum that feels steady, sustainable, and rooted in joy.

Here’s my month by the numbers:
🧠 18 writing days
💌 22 email marketing lessons
📚 463 pages read
💪 29 stretch sessions + 5 lifts
💦 12 lake swims
📈 32,677 words written (32% of the book!)
😴 23 mornings I let myself wake naturally

You don’t have to hide in a cabin to do this.

That’s exactly why I created The Life Goal Experiment Kit—so you can make peaceful progress on your own goals, in the middle of your real life.

Inside, you’ll learn how to design a bite-sized experiment that works with your energy, your capacity, and your nervous system. You’ll get a private podcast, worksheets, and a dashboard to track what’s working and adjust as you go.

💫 It’s $7 through Aug 4. DM me the word “EXPERIMENT” and I’ll send you the link to grab it.

This isn’t about forcing yourself to hustle harder—it’s about learning to move with yourself.

This week, two of my closest friends arrived at the tiny cabin…

and if you’re picturing us:
🏞️ swimming in the lake
🌀 doing a little magic
🥞 making gourmet pancakes
🧗‍♀️ creek-adventuring
💃 dancing under the trees…

you’d be right.

It's my final full week in the woods before heading back to Bay Area life, so I decided to adapt my experiment:

👉 Write for an hour Mon + Tues (✅ done!) and again over the weekend

💫 Intentionally pausing midweek to make room for presence and play

Because sometimes, the most aligned next step is taking a break.
And yes—that break can be its own experiment.

Last week, my focus wasn’t just on writing…

It was on practicing values I teach inside The Compass Club:
self-compassion, curiosity, playfulness, and letting it be easy.

🧠 What would it look like if you gave yourself permission to step back without losing momentum?

Let me know 👇

🐿️ Week 3 at the cabin kicked off… with a two-hour stand-off with a baby chipmunk.

After multiple failed broom sweeps, pillowcase attempts, and even trying to trap him with a pasta strainer (don’t ask 🙃), I finally held the end of the broom still like a tree branch… and he climbed on like it was NBD. Swift evacuation success, and a photo for proof.

Needless to say, no writing happened that morning 😅

But honestly? It reminded me that successful experiments are often less about perfection and more about willingness to try (and tweak!) until something works.

This week’s creative experiment was all about working with my resistance instead of pushing through it:

🧠 Read a few pages of something inspiring after breakfast—then write for 15–30 minutes.

Because letting it feel easier can be the key to staying consistent.

🌲 Your turn: What would help you make your goal feel more doable this week?

Drop a ✨ or share below. Let’s cheer each other on 🫶

🧜‍♀️ Week 2 of my cabin experiment wrapped up with cold water, quiet writing sessions, and a few irrational fears.

We took a boat out on Fallen Leaf Lake earlier in the week—me, my parents, my in-laws, and my husband. The motor was slow but the views were stunning. Naturally, I was the first to jump in… and only convinced my father-in-law to join me.

I got out pretty quickly—not because of the cold, but because I always have this irrational fear something’s going to swim up and eat me. Yes, even in a lake. 🙃

Silly? Maybe. But feelings don’t have to be rational to affect what we do.

That reminder came up a lot this week—especially in my creative experiment.

My week 2 writing experiment was simple:
👉 Write for 15 minutes a day, leaning into the feeling of creativity, relaxation, and flow.

Some days I wrote after breakfast, other days I squeezed it in before anyone else was awake. But I met my goal. Not because I forced it, but because I focused on how I wanted to feel.

And just for fun, here’s a peek at my novel’s logline:

After a surprise layoff in Silicon Valley, a burned-out techie takes a chance on a secret magical school for healers from the stars. But when she uncovers the truth of why she incarnated on Earth, she must learn to let love in and forgive herself—before her volatile power takes everyone down with her.
