Today 4 years ago our little baby boy had his first surgery. God has a plan for Cole and our family because this boy is a fighter and has amazes us over and over again! Happy heartversary! 🙏🙌❤️‍🩹

I have been slacking on life updates with cole!

We have joined the world of sports! Cole got to join tball! We are so thankful he is able to do this! The next few years we don't really know if he would be able to do it with future surgeries and other health stuff so we made the jump and decided to put him in sports while he still can! It has been a hilarious journey so far 😅 he is definitely the kids who is playing in the dirt, rolling around and looking adorable!

We hade coles yearly cardiologist appointment (it was a couple months late) but his heart is just about the same as last year *thats good news!* So Coles right vertical is in large and his pulmonary valve still has leakage due to his last repair but with his heart issues when you fix one thing it doesn't fix everything and as of now anything they really do is temporary fixes and you cant hit it all in one surgery but his cardiologist says she still doesn't want to put a definite time frame but looks like his next OHS will be around 5 or 6 years. Things we really have to watch is if he get tired or wonded faster than normal as of now this kid is absolutely bonkers so he seems to be as healthy as a little bit who is living with a CHD 💙❤️💙❤️ also he did great laying still for his EKG and ECHO he only got attitude once when the nurse kept calling him buddy. He said I not buddy I Cole!

So I thought I had posted this but apparently I didn't. 🤔

BUT Cole had his first week of school! He was so excited to go and make new friends! Unfortunately now he'd rather stay home with mom and dad (hes a homebody like me😬) but he's slowly getting used to it. He gets excited when we ask him if he wants to go but then he says but I want you to come with me. We ask him how his day is and he says he plays with friends and he makes pizza and plays with a rocket. I ask him if he got any times out and he says yeah but just because.... (that's his new thing saying "Just because") but thankfully his teachers say he's doing great and he is catching on very fast! His sister is still his #1 fan and encourages him to love school!

Our nephew Emmet will be having his first open heart surgery soon. The family's bestie is doing a fundraiser! She makes amazing sourdough all proceeds will go to the family! Please share and donate is you can!

Emmet is a sweet, goofy and loving 4 year old that will steal your heart so fast. He was born with TOF that consists of a large VSD, 2 small to moderate ASD's, aortic valve malformation and pulmonary atresia, as well as neurological anomalies, lung and GI issues, developmental delays and the happiest little heart you could ever imagine.
His left side of his heart is 2 times the side of his right, showing he is in severe cardiac failure and failure to thrive. He has high levels of fluid in his lungs as well. His medical team was unsure if he would survive, and he has surprised everyone every day with thriving the best he could. He has a huge team of specialists, and they have decided that after 4 years of interventions to prolong surgery, now is the time to have his heart repaired. Emmet will be having his open heart surgery at the end of summer.

Any sourdough purchases will directly benefit Emmet and his upcoming medical costs. Emmet's parents are Alan and Casey Kingston. Casey grew up in Reedsport and they are currently living in Texas.

Cole won a sweet bike on Saturday at our local Speedway! He sure was excited and loves it so much! He hasn't gotten the pedaling down yeast but I'm sure he will in no time!

Coles 3 today! We celebrated him with some close family and Mexican food and he enjoyed every minute of it! We are excited to see what 3 years hold for Cole!

Cole and sister Rayne got to see Santa yesterday! He was a little nervous when mom and dad walked to the side but after sister sat with him they showed Santa there elf’s Chippy and Candy Cane all was well with smiles from there! We are excited to see what 2024 holds for our family! Let’s pray it’s all happiness and good health!
