Garlic Soy Chicken Stir-Fried with Crisp Green Beans and Savory Pan Glaze
Ingredients:
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
3 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until lightly golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the green beans and stir-fry for 4 minutes until tender-crisp and slightly blistered.
Add garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the green beans.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and green beans, stirring to coat evenly.
Add the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, green onions, and sesame seeds before serving.
Serve hot on its own or over steamed rice or noodles.
