This beauty right here gets confused a lot for a Lion's Mane mushroom however it is not but extremely closely related. This is called a Bears Head Tooth mushroom...Lion's Manes scientific is Hericium erinaceus while Bears Head Tooths scientific name is Herecium americanum.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) (this specific one, as there are many variations)is a parasitic fungus growing on insect larvae. For centuries, it has been used in East Asian medicine to treat fatigue, sickness, and low s*x drive. Bioactive compounds include polysaccharides and others with potential antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. Research indicates potential anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, and neuroprotective effects, though limited human studies exist. It is sold widely as a dietary supplement, but quality and effectiveness vary, and more clinical evidence is required.
