Welcome to Rooted Healing! My name is Amy Dodge, and I am excited to share with you all that I have learned, and will continue to learn, during my healing journey. In 2012, I started experiencing symptoms commonly known as multiple sclerosis. The medical doctors I consulted with, stated that I could get a prescription for a pharmaceutical that may prevent symptoms from worsening, but not a guarantee. My gut feelings were telling me this was not my path. I immediately began my own research and sought out other holistic practitioners to assist me in getting to the root cause of my symptoms.
Nutrition, supplements, detoxes and cleanses were a large part of my journey in the beginning. Some helped me to feel better, others, not so much. As determined as I was in finding the answer in treating the physical body, I was missing the mind and breath aspects of my wholeness.
I found Dr Sue Morter in 2019 when her book “The Energy Codes: The 7-Step System to Awaken Your Spirit, Heal Your Body, and Live Your Best Life” was released. I instantly fell in love with Dr Sue’s perspectives and teachings she shared in her book, I couldn’t get enough! Her work has helped me see the bigger picture regarding the dis-ease in my life and has given me so many practical tools that I can use daily to help get me back to a state of ease. Just a shallow breath or an upsetting thought can change your body chemistry instantly. If we have regretful thoughts about our past or anxious feelings about what the future may bring, our bodies perceive that as what is happening in the moment. This causes our systems to react with different responses not always visible to the conscious mind or our five senses. For example, many of us just think of biting into a fresh lemon, and our mouth starts to salivate. If thoughts consistently cause our systems to be out of balance and keep our bodies in “fight or flight”, this never allows a break for “rest and repair”. The perfect diet cannot reverse the effects of harmful thoughts. Our subconscious beliefs, many of which were stored at an early age, influence our thoughts, which control our actions and determine how our lives are lived.
I still have a lot to learn regarding treating our whole self, mind, body, and breath, but want to start sharing what I have learned as part of the next steps in my journey back to health. I have spent many hours with Dr Sue and her team and couldn’t be prouder to say that I am a certified Energy Codes® Coach & Facilitator, a Certified B.E.S.T. Practitioner as well as a Certified Spiritual B.E.S.T. Practitioner! I would love to assist you in seeing and healing your life from a different perspective.
