If a new year is bringing up anxiety and pressure for you, you’re not the only one. Sometimes the idea of a fresh start can also feel like a silent reminder of everything you haven’t done yet…

“I should be further along”
“I should have accomplished this by now”
“I still haven’t finished this”
“I’m running out of time”

It’s easy to feel the pressure of what you “should” be doing, what you “should” have achieved or where you “should” be in life. But it’s important to remember that life has seasons and not all seasons are about big, shiny visible goals.

Some seasons are about quiet growth, learning, healing or preparing for what’s to come.

Progress doesn’t have to look like checking off a big milestone.

If you’re finding yourself in a season of life where you feel stuck, unsure of your next step or just need a little extra guidance and support to move forward, reach out to learn more about working together 1:1.

Who’s with me on this?!

The way we’ve been taught to be in the world does not always align with what’s best for our well-being. It’s time to redefine what it means to live well and drop the expectations, criticism and constant striving for “better” or more. Let’s make 2026 a year of true healing for the body and mind.

You are worthy of love, rest and care and you don’t have to earn your worth or exhaust yourself in the process.

We’re here for mental and emotional support if you need it…🙂

A common thing that perfectionists end up doing is taking so long to complete something that often times it NEVER gets finished and put out into the world.

Other times the process of completing something takes 50x longer because you keep going back to fix or change or refine little things. These little things may seem like BIG flaws to you but would most other people even notice them or be bothered by them?

Meanwhile what is all this extra time costing you? Depending on what you’re working on, it could be costing you success, growth, money, connection, joy - and especially peace of mind!

Healing perfectionism isn’t about needing to lower your standards or learning to be ok with mediocrity.

It’s about addressing the underlying fear - through therapy or coaching or inner self work - so that it stops driving your behavior and you can feel MORE peace, more confidence, have more rest and trust and belief in yourself (AND get your beautiful creations and projects out into the world!)✨😍

From injury to healing and thriving!

Sometimes what feels like a setback in the moment leads to something healing and inspiring.

Four years ago I was training for a half marathon when I took a hard fall. At the time it felt frustrating - an injury that disrupted my training and left me in pain. But that fall led me to meeting Chris Simon .massagetherapy, a massage therapist in FL who has become a trusted practitioner.

He helped me recover and get back on track and I still see him to this day whenever I visit my sister and friends in FL! Recently I even had the pleasure of personally delivering one of my books that he ordered to him😊

The ripple effect of that “setback” continues to spread - Chris has also been able to help a close friend of mine who’s been dealing with chronic pain.

If you’re going through a difficult time right now, remember this…

That injury, that challenge, that hardship - as much as we wish these things would never happen in the first place - they may end up leading you to a solution, a connection or an opportunity you never would have found otherwise.

The body holds memory of the trauma response so sometimes massage therapy can be helpful for the mind in addition to the body. What makes the difference is the practitioner and the application of what they know as well as the readiness of you, the client.

It’s important to hold onto that kind of hope when going through rough times!

"Just talk about it enough, choose positivity, and you'll feel better."

Except for many people this is not enough.

The mind is powerful but when you experience overwhelming events, your entire being responds - not JUST your thinking mind. This means more than talk therapy and mindset work is often required in order to heal, especially when trying to process difficult experiences.

If you’ve tried talk therapy in the past and struggled to find relief, don’t give up! You may just need a multi-layered and holistic approach - one that addresses your WHOLE being (body, mind, spirit)... not just the mind.
