I remember the days of trying to drag the boys to gym. They hated the childcare. It was expensive and so hard to get out of. And who knows what to do once you’re there, are you a personal trainer?? The classes were never at the right time, they interfered with dinner or practice of some sport.

In the last 24 hours I’ve spoken to 3 people who said they paid over $120 a month for barré memberships. 🤯
Whaaaat? And because of the class times, they were lucky to go a few times a week.

My friends! This is a no brainer. In a small space in your living room, bedroom, or garage you can workout when you want and do the type of workout you want! Your kids won’t complain and you’ll save gas money!

We have an amazing Barre program starting on Monday! For less than 2 months fees at the studio, you’ll get a year of access to our workout library, including nutrition, and mindset.

You need to message me ASAP!

Barre blend super block: 5 days a week, 20-30 minutes a day. Trust me 2 pound weights or no weights will work! A chair or a wall will work as a barre.

This article was shared with me this morning as it reminded one of my mentors of me and my journey. I hope you take a few minutes to read it.

As any good mentor does, they make you think. As I read the article I was brought back to how the shift occurred. As I mentioned earlier this week, I started this journey to lose weight for senior football night. And over the years it’s totally changed, as I have changed. But how did that happen?

One step at a time. One event after the other. Unfortunately, it was triggered by the passing my of mom. Complete devastation doesn’t begin to skim the surface.

After losing the weight I didn’t feel “done.” I had just started to see what opportunities lie ahead and little by little I started to learn and grow. One workout, one book and one master class after the other.

My quest evolved into reducing my cancer risks as much as possible and longevity. I became a BODi partner, a certified IIN Health Coach, and still continue to learn and dig into personal development.

Those actions allow me the tools to find the sought after work-life balance. It’s not perfect, but wow is it better!

We are able to become the best versions of ourselves when we take care of ourselves. Whether you call that self-care or just flat out meeting your needs.

Make yourself a priority. As the article states, “Nurturing self-care is the cornerstone of long-term career success. It is through intentional living that you lay the foundation for enduring achievements. To shield yourself from burnout, embrace the art of saying yes to your needs and well-being.”

What are you doing for your future self?
Too often do I see people get frustrated and want to quit their workouts and nutrition routines. I can appreciate how frustrating it is to be working hard and not seeing the results you wanted as fast as you wanted them but what is your other option if you quit? Moving and nourishing our bodies is for life. There’s no end game. With keeping up your activity daily, working out and choosing (mostly) healthy meals, you are still improving your health, strength, mobility, cognitive function, mental health... all of which will keep you active and healthy as you age. You are doing great if you are showing up every day making those healthy choices. Don’t stop!

It’s all about that sauce! 🎶🎶 ⠀

Ohhhh, no worries, not quitting the day job! 🤣🤣 Anyway, I’m trying to diversify my sauces since I love a stir fry and keep going to the same few sauces. ⠀

I also didn’t feel like making a “recipe” so this is what I came up with! White beans, roasted asparagus, butternut squash, and zucchini. Then I attempted to caramelize onions....will try again. And I made some farro. ⠀

But the sauce!! It’s a lemon ginger sauce (from , because all of her recipes are the bomb.com 💣) It’s so good. Like I’m going to put it on everything good! ⠀
