When it comes to mental health and addiction there is a stigma attached. We need to break this stigma. In case You didn’t know, it’s ok to seek counseling and get help. It’s ok to go to an alcoholics or narcotics anonymous meeting.
It’s ok to admit when we are not ok.
There is help.
It’s ok to admit when we need help too.
What’s worse, is so many people are going through very hard times and pretending they are ok when they are not actually ok at all. Not only is this inauthentic and dishonest, but many people choose to suffer in silence for a long time.
Having a therapist that I can talk to and get professional advice from while going through recovery, healing abuse trauma, and child loss has literally saved my life.
We are all living in very unbelievable, shocking, unpredictable and INtense times here on this beautiful planet Earth. Since Donald was in office last time and the entire world was locked down in 2020 for c0v1d, nothing will EVER be the same.
We cannot go backwards, only forward.
Stress is a silent killer.
Don’t suffer in silence.
Taking absolute best care of Self is vital for a healthy Self. That means taking care of our very own mental and physical health. Doing what we need to do to alleviate the stress that we can and balancing in all areas of our life which is what we can control.
In the United States there is a 988 hotline to call if You ever need someone to talk to. It doesn't have to be a crisis, and You do not have to be suicidal. There are professional social workers available 24 hours a day.
