Looking for a way to give back to the community?

If you have an interest in forensics and medicine and are interested in helping victims of violence, this is the opportunity for you!

NO experience is required.

We will provide all the training you will need!

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Must be a high school graduate.

Must have your own transportation.

Must be dependable, reliable, compassionate, and considerate.

Must consent to and pass an FBI background check.

Must possess a working knowledge of how to use basic computer programs, email, and GSuite programs.

Experience in healthcare is preferred, but not necessary.

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT: Due to the cost of on-boarding volunteers, a minimum of a 1 year commitment is required.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL POSITIONS WITH THE COTTAGE ARE VOLUNTEER. There are no paid positions available within the organization. Our non-profit is not funded well enough to provide salaries at this time.

If you would like to nominate a family (including your own), please read the information provided below FIRST, and then complete the application/nomination form we have linked below.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANCE: PLEASE READ PRIOR TO SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION/NOMINATION FORM:

1. The child/family nominated MUST live within our service region AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION/NOMINATION.

2. Information provided in the application MUST clearly evidence a NEED for assistance. Please understand that this is to protect the integrity of this initiative, as we rely on local people to provide assistance, and we do not want to take advantage of their generosity.

IMPORTANT NOTES (PLEASE READ):

1. All applications/nominations are reviewed and evaluated by our committee and are based on the child’s/family’s NEED for assistance.

2. All applications/nominations are subject to committee approval BEFORE any child or family is posted.

3. Submission of an application/nomination DOES NOT guarantee assistance.

4. If the child/family nominated is selected, we will notify the individual who made the nomination by email within 2 business days of selection. You will NOT be notified if the child/family you nominated is not selected.

5. We try our very best to get all children and families who are nominated and accepted adopted; however, acceptance does not guarantee the child/family will be adopted, as we rely on the good people in our local community who are able to help to assist with this initiative.
