Asking for a prayer. We are getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other and all of those affected by hurricane Helene today & incoming Milton because prayers are needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends. I did it for someone else, and you can too ! 💜🙏🏻💜
I copied & posted to my wall.
Done!! Prayers ongoing.

Remembering my Mom this month... Miss you every day Mom...

I can't believe it has been a year since I have posted anything out here. I have been neglectful of this page, and I sincerely apologize to those who have been loyal followers of this site.

The last five years have been a tremendously challenging time for me. I have lost my right kidney due to ureteral cancer and continue to now fight bladder cancer, after having been through numerous BCG treatments. I was diagnosed with the MSH6 mutant gene, also known as Lynch Syndrome. This makes me predisposed to lower GI cancers. I have had cervical cancer, ureteral cancer, bladder cancer, and colon polyps removed during numerous colonoscopies.

But, God, has given me many reasons to be grateful! I am still here! I have a beautiful two-year old granddaughter that keeps me going! And I'm not done yet!!!

I also learned that I have two half-sisters. My youngest sister just fought bladder cancer a couple of years ago. She is doing okay.
But she was just recently diagnosed ovarian cancer. What was thought to be a fibroid tumor turned out to be ovarian cancer during a complete hysterectomy. She just had her port put in yesterday and will begin treatments next week.

I missed the anniversary of my Mom's passing on July 1.

While my sister is battling this horrible disease, I will be diligent about keeping this page up to date!

I'm back!

➡️ SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS ⬅️

Oftentimes, people confuse the of as symptoms of other issues, leaving a longer window of time before diagnosis. Pay attention to your body, and talk to your doctor if you experience the following:

✔️ Feeling the need to urinate urgently or often
☑️ Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
✔️Pelvic or abdominal pain
☑️ Bloating
✔️ Back pain
☑️ Upset stomach or heartburn
✔️ Fatigue
☑️ Constipation or menstrual changes
✔️Pain during s*x

Remember, these symptoms don't necessarily mean you have ovarian cancer, but it's important to by detecting and treating early! https://bit.ly/3RB9GiZ

Ovarian cancer ranks among the deadliest cancers affecting women, in part because doctors lack means to catch it before it spreads. A new instrument could help change that — by looking in the fallopian tubes.Jennifer Barton, director of UA's BIO5 Institute, created the tiny new endoscope. She says...
