So I have strep throat… and WOW it has absolutely knocked me for a loop.
Yesterday’s nutrition? Popsicles and soup.
Yesterday’s workout?
• Shivering
• Then full-body sweat every time my fever broke
• Bonus round: total body tense + wince with every swallow 😫
Today isn’t much better yet, but 🤞 the antibiotics start kicking in soon. I did manage to start the day with a high-protein yogurt though… and my cardio so far was showering 😂
Now—no medical claims here—but here’s what I do know.
I fell out of my normal routine mid-December rolling into January. My non-negotiables slowly became “when I remember.”
Before that? I went two full years without getting sick, no matter what chaos or germs came through my house.
The only things I stayed consistent with the last 6 weeks was my cortisol drink… because let’s be honest, the energy from my coffee and watermelon berry are Instant! Everything else is the silent support in the backgrond and I was taking them hit or miss at best…
Fast-forward to now: laid up with strep, haven’t been out of bed in two days.
Moral of the story—whether they’re the reason or not—this was my reminder.
My non-negotiables are once again NON-NEGOTIABLE.

✔️ Electrolytes
✔️ Daily support for immunity, stress, and overall resilience
