Binders are one of those tools I used to totally underestimate.
For a long time, I thought of them as something you only needed during a “detox protocol” or when you were doing something more intense.
But now? I travel with them and use them strategically!
I think of them as part of the clean-up crew for living a real, human life in 2026.
Because the goal is not to live in a bubble with constant elimination.
The goal is to support your body well enough that you can eat at restaurants occasionally, travel, sit in an airplane, go to the salon, stay in a hotel, walk amidst the city, enjoy a night out, or have the occasional less-than-perfect food moment… without your system totally crashing or feeling like it has to carry the entire burden alone.
Binders work like little “mops” in the body.
They bind to certain toxins, byproducts, and irritants so your body has a better chance of escorting them out through the bowels instead of recirculating them over and over again (damaging the brain and organs).
This is especially helpful because so much of detox comes down to one simple question:
Can your body actually eliminate what it is mobilizing?
I talk a lot about detox pathways, liver support, lymph, sweat, bile, gut health, cellular health, and drainage — and all of that matters!
And binders can be that extra layer of support that helps “catch” what your body is trying to clear, preventing it from recirculating.
A few times I love using binders:
During and after travel
After eating out
Around sauna sessions/ workouts
After alcohol if you drink
After salon or dental visits
After moldy/damp environments
After smoke, fumes, or pesticide exposure
They are not a magic fix, and they are not for everyone all the time — timing, hydration, minerals, bowel movements, and medication spacing matter.
But when used well, they can be such a beautiful support for a body doing its best to keep up with modern life.
