Congratulations to my friend who was honored as a Mom in her Industry by RGV LEAD - Rio Grande Valley Linking Economic and Academic Development. You’re an amazing woman & inspiration. 🥰

Yesterday was a great day with Clasa X of the Leadership class.

Education was the focus of the day.

We heard from top industry leaders (Harlingen ISD, Vanguard Academy, to name a few) on the successes & challenges that they face in the Rio Grande Valley.

And they did not shy away from the white elephant in the room - School Vouchers.

We also toured simulated hospital lab at the Nursing& Allied Health Building & the expanding facility at Texas A&M-McAllen.

The balancing act of education & developping a skilled, trainable workforce is real. Don’t sleep on the RGV!

I learned so much and had fun, as I always do!

So grateful to be among this esteemed class of professionals.

Today I had the honor of sharing a stage with my dear friend

We were both asked to be speakers today at The Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station as they recognized Martin Luther King, Jr Day.

We shared our personal stories as well as the impact of (www.villageinthevalley.org) our area.

I’m always so grateful to share what we do through VIVA. We’re a small organization, but everything we do is in service to our community.

As spoken by Dr. King “Not everybody can be famous but everybody can be great because greatness is determined by service”

Magic….🤔
The word has so many negative connotations for me. If ya wanna talk about it, that’s an entire other conversation for another day😆

But as I sat in thought this morning, I realized magic is just another word for superpower. ✨

What is your superpower? What is the thing that you do your way that no one else can?

That thing IS what makes you magical.

Whether you teach, preach, share, inspire, elevate, lead, organize, have insight or provide comfort….the list is endless!

Every one of us has a little magic inside of us.

Share your magic. You have no idea who needs it & who’s life you’ll change because of it. ✨

I heard today that the New Year is really starting today. Who starts a New Year in the middle of the week, for real? 😆

Monday Jan 5th IS the beginning of the reset for the New Year. 🎆

And for me it’s true.

It’s time to shake off yesterday. It’s time to start fresh. It’s time to rediscover who I am & what I’m meant to be. It’s time to refine my passion. It’s time to go back to the basics of what I know to be true. It’s time to stop making excuses, stop being distracted & start being responsive!

I gave myself this little pep talk today. Who else needed it? Let’s go!

And just like that 2024 is about to be a wrap!

This photo taken in Santorini, Greece is so symbolic for me.

It reminds me to ready to take the next step. That what happened in 2024 is now behind me. It reminds me to always look for the adventure & look for things that bring me joy.

2024 was a year of transition & change. It was a year I chose to embrace PEACE in all areas of my life. It was a year that I challenged myself in ways I didn’t know possible.

As we all cross into a NEW beginning, I pray for prosperity, wisdom & a whole lotta JOY!!

Happy 2025 my friends!!

Merry Christmas ya’ll!!

Christmas Eve started with a beautiful candlelight service & then things got rocky after that 😮

flight from DFW was delayed 3 hours & then cancelled at 8pm last night. Thankfully is resourceful, is a trooper & Greyhound had a few seats left! 🚍

We delayed our entire breakfast tradition & gift opening until he got here. 🎄🎁 🥰

I’m blessed to have my Mom & sister with us. The holiday season is ALL about family for us. ❤️🎄

My Story

I grew up shy, introverted and always following the rules. I was the girl who was chosen last for the team, never had a boyfriend and really stayed to myself. Don’t get it twisted, I had friends, but it was very small group. My parents divorced when I was 12 and I helped my Mom clean houses and offices buildings after school so we had enough money to make ends meet. Despite all of our challenges, my parents instilled in me the value of education and work ethic. I became a Registered Nurse at 19 when I got my Associates Degree! I was the youngest in my graduating class. I moved the the United States from Canada in the mid 90’s, have been married for more than 16 years & now have 2 amazing boys. After many years, I finally went back to school and got my Master’s Degree in Nursing. I thought I was going to teach nurses, but I felt my life being pulled in another direction. My journey as a coach started 10 years ago when I was first exposed to personal development. I’m inspired by my clients who are tired of living life without the sparkle. They are committed to removing their excuses and are empowered to stay curious about possibilities. I’m inspired by my clients because in each one of them I see a little bit of me. Knowing that God had given me the ability to embrace my fears, push past rejection and love on me, gives me hope that others can do the same. I’m grounded in knowing that my time on earth is only a just a blip, so with that, I’m determined to support others on their own journey of discovery.
