Kamari's Fight to kick cancers BUTT.

On March 6th 2014 after a week of severe abdominal pain, numerous visits to the ER and pediatrician with no answers Kamari started to have weakness in his legs and within hours he was unable to walk. Finally UNM decided to order a MRI of Kamari's spine and found a tumor on T6 and T7 of his spine, and it was compressing his spinal cord. 2 hours later Kamari was taken into the OR to remove the Tumor

to remove pressure from his spinal cord. We were told the surgery was being performed not so Kamari could walk again, but to prevent further damage to his spinal cord. About 24 hours after surgery Kamari was able to wiggle his toes....we were so excited! Every day things got better, and better. By day 4 post surgery he was waking.....GOD IS GOOD! A couple days later we received results from pathology....we found out that the tumor on Kamari's spine is a malignant rhabdoid tumor. We have never felt so hurt as we felt in that moment. Kamari had another surgery a couple days later to remove the rest of the tumor, place line in his chest for chemo, a spinal tap, and bone marrow biopsy.
