Nine years ago my mother had a massive stroke leaving her impaired and unable to live independently.

One of my favorite memories while caring for my mother was sitting with her on the front porch, a place where she loved to spend time. We would sit for hours watching for the cardinals to come visit, all the while she would be whistling her special whistle, a sound only she could make. After a long day the time we shared together was a wonderful diversion and brought me comfort and relief. I always looked forward to the next time that we would sit together to watch for the “red birds”.

Like so many other families my parents wanted to remain in their home and we wanted to help make that happen. Even though my father was healthy he needed extra assistance taking care of my mother‘s daily needs, as a family we did the best we could but found that we required additional help. The process of finding quality caregivers from an outside source was difficult and exhausting. As a result, I made it my mission to help others by establishing Ashland Vine Senior Home Care. Our goal is for your loved one to find peace and comfort on their own "front porch"
