Here are a few things you can’t control with dementia:

♡ Their short-term memory loss

♡ Repetitive questions or stories

♡ Changes in mood or personality

♡ Confusion about time or place

♡ Their reality (even when it doesn’t match yours)

♡ When or if they remember you

BUT you can control how you show up—with patience, love, and presence.
