🎉 Big News for Eastern Suffolk Families! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a dedicated pediatric room within our Emergency Department! This unique, child-friendly space is the first of its kind in our region, creating a comforting environment where children can feel safe, calm and cared for, even during an emergency.

This incredible project was made possible by the heartfelt generosity of Marie and Emanuel Arturi, given in loving memory of their beloved daughter, Daniella. We are profoundly grateful for their support in making this vital addition a reality for our community.

Yesterday’s blood drive was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together. We collected 114 pints of blood in an extraordinary display of generosity from our donors! We're grateful for our Cancer Survivorship team, who hosted a blood pressure screening event at the Riverhead Senior Center. Dr. Devashree Parmar and Guy-Philippe Beauzile, PA, completed blood pressure screenings for 28 seniors. This type of preventative care is essential for the health of our community. Spending time outdoors is one of the best parts of summer, but don’t forget to protect yourself from ticks! These tiny pests can carry serious illnesses like Lyme disease and anaplasmosis. When you're heading out, remember to:

-Wear long sleeves and pants
-Use insect repellent
-Check for ticks after being outside

If you develop a rash, fever, or flu-like symptoms after a tick bite, contact your doctor right away. Early treatment makes all the difference. We're here if you need us!

We have officially opened our renovated Interventional Radiology Suite, marking a transformative milestone in our ability to diagnose and treat life-threatening conditions at their earliest stages. Our suite features the Philips Azurion 7 C20 with FlexArm, a cutting-edge piece of equipment with advanced imaging technology, using high-resolution flat detectors and real-time image processing through ClarityIQ. We will now be able to detect diseases, including certain cancers and vascular conditions, more accurately and sooner than ever before.
