There are no words to describe what I have felt watching so much destruction from the Palisades and Eaton Fires.
I was born and raised in Burbank, always lived in The Valley, up until I moved to Jurupa Valley almost 10 years ago. A lot of what is destroyed was part of me and I feel so much sorrow having watched it all go up in flames. Families who worked so hard for their homes, all gone.
Some family members and close friends are still evacuated, some are on stand by and sadly, some have lost it all.
It’s still not over as there’s no containment in the Eaton Fire and only at 8% in Palisades. I just saw the fire has spread to San Fernando Valley.
I’m sure you’ve seen posts on how and where to send help. If you’re in the means of doing so, please consider it.
