Welcome back Terri to the 2026 Michigan Massage Championship as a judge!
Terri Barton is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Georgia with a degree in Neuromuscular Therapy, graduation with honors in 2005. With over 20 years as a business owner and massage experience, she has dedicated her career to advancing the massage therapy profession through both clinical excellence and volunteer leadership.
Terri has trained under internationally recognized therapist Luisa Vargas and Krista Harris in preparation for the various Massage Championships. She has served as a respected judge at several major competitions, including the Inaugural Georgia/Florida Massage Championship in 2023, again in 2024 for Georgia, 2024-2025 AMC as judge in Western Freestyle and sports, 2025 Judge for the Michigan Championships.
A proud 20-year member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Terri has been a primary volunteer for 16 years. She currently serves as the Government Relations Chair for the AMTA Georgia Chapter, where she advocates for the legislative and regulatory initiatives that support massage therapist across the state.
Her service has earned her national and state-level recognition, including the AMTA National Humanitarian Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the AMTA Georgia Chapter. She is also a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), further reflecting on her commitment to high standards in the field.
Terri has also served on the Northwest Georgia Parkinsons Board of Directors, as well as a primary presenter at the Parkinsons National conventions as to the benefits of massage with Parkinson clients. Terri continues to serve her community as the current Board of Director for Rome, Ga PFLAG.
