What do you do when you want to go hunting but you don’t have a treestand?
You do what young hunter Sonny Vaughn did, you pick a tree and climb up!!
Sonny is a 14yr old hunter from Braxton County. Recently, he went hunting one afternoon after school. Having no treestand, he found a tree that he liked and climbed up it with his bow. He stood on a limb with his back against the tree and waited. Not long after, an 8pt buck made its way by him and he made a great shot. His dad Scott deserves some credit for teaching Sonny how to improvise to be successful in the world of hunting. And a big thanks goes out to neighbor Jamie Gum for helping with field dressing.
