Meet our providers: The Genesis Resort for Birth! 🌿😌

A few days ago, we introduced you to our lead midwife, Lindsay.
Today, we are highlighting our incredible medical sonographers (both RDMS).

Gina and Katie are both excellent in the work that they do; and they bring extensive value, positivity and joy to our team!

Whether you are a client of ours at the resort or not, their ultrasound services are available to everyone.

🌿Meet our providers at the brand new Genesis Resort for Birth! (Now open!)

Today, we are featuring Lindsay Lambeth, CNM.

Lindsay is the lead midwife at the birth resort. She offers prenatal care, birth services, postpartum/newborn care, women’s health visits, and preconception counseling!

Here’s a little bit about her-

“After practicing hospital-based midwifery in Roanoke, I now support families in safe births in the out-of-hospital setting. I have seen countless times the strength of women, the beauty of birth, and the importance of autonomy. It is my joy to get to know each family I serve, to listen well, and to walk with you as you welcome your baby into your arms. I also enjoy providing well-woman, preconception, and problem visits when needed.

After facing our infertility diagnosis, my husband and I were blessed to finally welcome our daughter with the support and care of midwives. My experience longing for and waiting on our child, as well as my faith in Jesus, continues to shape the heart I bring to this work.

When I’m not attending births, you can find me in the garden with my daughter or tending to our animals on our little hobby farm.

I look forward to connecting with you to discuss the vision you have for your birth.”

“So.. what exactly is a birth resort?”

We’ve heard this question a few times, so we wanted to give some clarity on answering this question, as well as an overview of all the services and amenities we have at the resort!

At the core, we are a birth center with certified nurse midwives, birthing rooms (with pools), prenatal and postpartum care and everything that encompasses that.
The things that separates us from usual birth centers though, is the array of different additional services and amenities that other birth centers simply don’t offer (and the coolest part is, you do NOT have to be a client with us to enjoy these services! They are all open to the public community and booking is now open on our website!)
…But one of the BEST parts? 👇🏼

👩🏻‍🍳We have a postpartum nourishment team ready to cook a nutritionally dense hot meal 🥘🍲for you and your husband/partner right after you give birth!!
Plus, we will offer extended stays for clients who need more time before driving home. 😌

In the next slides you will see an overview of the providers and services we have. Everything you would need is all under one roof; which will truly be an amazing way to thread your whole pregnancy and birth experience together nicely.
Over the next week or so, we will be highlighting more details on each individual provider and the services they offer. Yes, even ultrasounds! We offer *everyone* in the community gender reveals and first trimester scans to anyone, no matter where they plan to give birth.

🎉 Congratulations to Sarah and Matt! The first Birth Resort baby was just born 🥰 we are SO excited for them!!

We are officially open! Virginia’s first birth resort- where you can find a variety of professional services all under one roof for pregnancy and postpartum needs: massage, pelvic floor PT, chiropractic, breastfeeding support, a birth boutique for prenatal/postpartum supplies, TONS of classes to prepare for birth and beyond, and most importantly- you can have your baby here at this gorgeous birth center with our midwives! We are so excited to announce the opening of Genesis Midwifery’s first brick and mortar birth center opening in Roanoke June 2025!!

We are calling it a “resort” because it’s the only place in Roanoke where all professional services related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum will all be under one roof! We will have house the following professional services:

-Webster certified chiropractor for prenatal and postpartum adjustments
-Licensed prenatal massage therapist
-Lactation consultant for breastfeeding support
-Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist
-The same Certified Nurse Midwife all the way through including being on call for your birth
-Ultrasound services
-Only 3 minutes from Carillion Roanoke Hospital when a transfer is needed
-The only birthing facility in Roanoke to offer nitrous oxide for coping in labor
-Waterbirth option in our luxurious birth pool
