Signs are all around us. Are you watching? Signs are all around us. Are you watching? This morning I was leaving a self-care appointment and I looked up because I heard crows calling. There was a hawk soaring. Today is the first anniversary of my husband’s physical death. He is always with me and he showed up as a nod to the next step. I am taking for myself. 💜

A pendulum is another way of connecting with your higher self.

I teach pendulum use in Reiki 3.

As I started house hunting, I pulled out the pendulum. I'll spare you all the details and say that the pendulum would not work.

I was miffed and confused.

When I look back, I see why.

I was outsourcing my intuition when it came to finding a house. I was relying on intuitive friends and the pendulum to help me.

I would ask the pendulum "townhouse?" no answer.

"Should I look for a house." No answer.

"Is this the right place." No answer.

I was being called to reconnect with my inner knowing without the use of tools and others.

It was a rough time because I had stopped trusting ME. I was uncomfortable and I wanted someone else to tell me because it was a huge decision.

During this discomfort, I realized I had a conversation in my head that this was my forever home. That made the decision huge! So I shifted it to, "This will be my home until whatever is next presents itself."

When I realized what I was doing in outsourcing my power. I surrendered. I settled in. I found a place and put in an offer. We are still in the finalization process.

I stopped writing this post just this moment and pulled out the pendulum. I asked, "Is ###X(address) the right house for me?" "Yes."

Ha! It's willing to work with me again now that I've connected to my own knowing again.

There are all types of tools but the #1 guiding tool is you. Connect with your intuition. If you need help, get energy healing sessions or learn an an energy healing modality. Reiki is what I teach and my healing sessions bring in a variety of modalities.

Have you met Grammy's quilt yet?

When my grandmother died in 2000, I found this quilt partially completed. I asked some of the church ladies in the quilting group to finish it for me.

I see memories aprons, skirts, blankets, doll's clothes and so much more when I look at it.

The quilt has become part of my healing practice. Not only is it on the table when people come for in person sessions, but it also goes with me to vendor events.

I have had people tell me they could see the energy in the quilt and that's why they stopped by my booth.

When I ask people if they want a blanket, they are ensconced in love.

Anyone who is a first time client hears that it is Grammy's quilt and I point out the material that my grandmother used to make one of my favorite outfits.

When they come back, they then ask for "Grammy's quilt."

Her love is palpable.

Recently a client said "Who wouldn't want Grammy's quilt."

"Women with hot flashes are the only ones." I replied. 😂
