We couldn’t possibly let 2025 end without acknowledging two very special people. Helen Juliano, RN, is one of our overnight nurses—and she was named Employee of the Month for December. Ashley Kaur is one of our dedicated Activities Assistants—and she was recently recognized with an Excellence In Action award.

We very grateful Rabbi Menachem provided a presentation for our residents to celebrate Hanukkah. We learned about playing the Dreidel, a traditional Hanukkah game. We learned about the blessings for lighting of the candles and for the miracles of Hanukkah. Lastly, we learned about the wearing of Tefillin to connect your heart, mind, and actions to the Creator.

We kicked off our holiday week yesterday with a festive Holiday Luncheon for residents and their guests in the Rose Terrace dining room. Chef Syed and his wonderful culinary team prepared a delicious luncheon that included a choice of Prime Rib or Ham, Brussel Sprouts with Cranberries, Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes, Italian Wedding Soup, and yummy cheesecake for dessert. Sparkling Apple Cranberry juice and musical entertainment made the afternoon even more merry!

Thank you to Brandon Birkner, our Activities Director, and his staff who worked hand-in-hand with the culinary team to create a winter wonderland of holiday fun for our residents and families in attendance! 🎄🎅🏼⛄️

Last Thursday, it was time to celebrate some very important people: The staff of Pomeroy Living’s Rochester Skilled Rehabilitation! The employees enjoyed a festive night out at Ike’s Restaurant in Sterling Heights, where they were treated to a sumptuous buffet, cash bar, DJ + dancing, and over 60 raffle prizes donated by our physicians and loyal vendors.

HR Director Sangeetha Subash was ready with her camera to document all the laughter, smiles, and all around merriment of this festive event!

It’s that time of year where the reindeer are running around! We found a couple running through our Christmas trees so we went hunting! We laughed and had a Holly jolly time spreading the holiday cheer 😁🦌 🎄 ⛄️

Family and friends, please join us for our Family Holiday Party! We will serve lunch at 12:00pm on Monday December 22nd with live music for $20 a plate. We hope to see you join us to celebrate this holiday season with our residents! ☃️

Please join us for our Winter Ball on Friday December 12th from 7pm to 8:30pm! We will have snacks, drinks, and dancing for all. We are still accepting donations of suits, dresses, ties, dress shirts, and heels for our residents! 🪩 ❄️

Farie is passionate about her job, taking orders from residents and serving hot food to their liking and specification. Congratulations, Farie! We appreciate you!!

Catherine Jurczyszyn, our wonderful Accounts Receivable Coordinator, was recently bestowed with an Excellence In Action distinction by her co-workers. When it comes to creative endeavors, Catherine is always the first one to raise her hand and jump in. She goes above and beyond participating in any resident activity that requires staff involvement.

Attention all! We will be having a Holiday Ball for our residents in December and are asking for donations for items residents can wear at the ball! Suits, dress shirts, ties, dresses, and dress shoes/heels. We will be accepting donations until December 12th. Thank you! 🪩

We were very happy to honor our residents who made the ultimate sacrifice and fought for our freedom. Thank you to Corey from Accent Care for providing our ceremony with a beautiful poem, pinning the Veterans, and presenting their certificates! We also enjoyed some delicious cake and shared stories. Thank you to all of the Veterans for your service! God bless America! 🇺🇸
