We threw a Color Party for our residents where each department was assigned a color and we made different tables filled with drinks and treats according to the assigned color! It was so much fun to see all the color brighten up our residents day. We enjoyed many different desserts with various colors. Thank you to all the staff for dressing in their colors and providing fun treats for our residents!

This month’s Excellence in Action spotlight shines brightly on Adam Nelson, our Assistant Maintenance Director, who was nominated by one of his co-workers for his energy, hard work, and sense of humor! Presenting Adam with a Target gift card is Aaron Austin, Director of Maintenance.

Singing with our friends is always so much fun! Karaoke is great for improving lung function, reducing stress, and enhancing social connections with others. We love it when staff join in on the fun too!

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our August Raffle Basket! Our residents did a great job helping sell the tickets. We sold 210 tickets but only one lucky winner. Congratulations to our very own Patti!

What’s in the box?!? Is it squishy, soft, or does it just feel funny? We had a blast using our brain power to guess mysterious objects only through touch. This was a great game that improved our focus and stimulated our senses!

We learned so much at Cranbrook Institute of Science!!! Many fascinating exhibits exploring history and science. Our residents love getting out for an educational visit during our summer days. Thank you to the museum for providing enriching exhibits!

Thank you to the Banjoes of Michigan for providing a banjo-filled concert! Our residents wore their cowboy hats that they decorated for a Western-themed afternoon. We sure had a rip-roarin’ time out yonder!

We love when Marco Floyd performs for us! His Jazz songs are so relaxing and energetic Pop songs either great harmonizing. Can’t wait to have him back!

Our awesome Therapy team took our residents outside this week for some fun in the sun! These games were designed to work on balance, mobility and hand eye coordination while making the residents smile. We are so grateful for our Therapy team and the fun ways they keep our residents healthy!

We had a fantastic day at the Senior Day Baseball Game at Jimmy John’s Field! JJ the resident dog was there helping pick up the bats as we enjoyed hotdogs and a fun game! Beautiful days is what summer is all about ☀️

We had so much fun creating these delicious summer time treats! Beach Pudding with Teddy Bear graham crackers and Swedish Fish! It was a tropical and tasty dessert 🍧
