Join us in celebrating Therese, our incredible Clinical Support Specialist in the Skilled Nursing Community and recent recipient of our quarterly Full of Heart Award! ❤️

Therese was nominated by both her fellow colleagues and the residents and families she serves—an inspiring testament to the impact she makes every single day.

One resident’s daughter shared, “Therese is an exceptional communicator who is always willing to assist, participate, and facilitate any special requests.”

Her teammates feel the same admiration. A colleague noted, “Therese is a great example of being an excellent team player and coworker. People like Therese make me feel proud to work here.”

We are so grateful for Therese’s dedication, compassion, and heart. She truly embodies what it means to go above and beyond for those we serve.

This week, Trinity Health Senior Communities Heartwood Lodge and Village at the Oaks, both in West Michigan, welcomed all colleagues to their first Mission Fairs. These events demonstrated how rooted in our Mission and Core Values each of our jobs truly is. They were well attended, well received, and lots of fun. Below, THSC Chief Operating Officer Stacey Johnson, Regional Operations Manager Sharon Cuddington, Village at the Oaks Housing Manager DaleTron Thompson, and THSC Mission Leader Mike Prince welcomed the colleagues at Village at the Oaks to their fair on Wednesday.

A Catholic May Crowning is a devotional ceremony, often held on or near May 1st to dedicate the month to the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring her as the Queen of Heaven and Mother of God.

Crowning ceremonies are often held in parishes, schools and homes, involving the crowning of a Mary statue with flowers to symbolize her as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

At 8 years old, Mary Teresa was chosen to crown the Virgin Mary in her school. She wore a white gown and veil, as pictured below.

On April 26, 2026, Mary Teresa passed away at the age of 95. Today we honor her and know that she is with the Queen of Heaven ❤️

✨Resident Spotlight✨

Rita has been a cherished part of our Bellbrook community since 2018, and we’re so grateful to have her with us. She is a proud mother of four and an adoring grandmother to eleven grandchildren—family time is something she truly treasures.

Born in New Mexico, Rita’s life journey has taken her through Texas and Indiana, and eventually to Michigan. Over the course of her marriage, Rita and her husband, Bill, moved an incredible 13 times! Of all the places she’s lived, Clawson, Michigan holds a special place in her heart, as it’s where she raised her family.

Right after high school, Rita stepped into nursing school and dedicated her life to helping others. One of her most meaningful roles was right here at Bellbrook, where she worked as a nurse. Rita often says it was the best nursing experience of her entire career—she felt confident, supported, and truly at home.

Today, Rita continues her lifelong calling by volunteering her time here at Bellbrook, offering support, kindness, and companionship to fellow residents. Her generosity, compassion, and heart for others perfectly reflect our mission and core values.

Thank you, Rita, for all you’ve done—and continue to do—for our Bellbrook family. 💜
