Today I had a client tell me that I made them uncomfortable in the best way possible because I opened their mind to things they had been avoiding for years.

I think this is such an accurate portrayal of therapy that is working. Therapy shouldn’t be something that provides a quick fix to emotional suffering. Therapy is something that, like physical exercise, involves a long, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful journey that untimately leads to overall longevity and
well-being. 💪🏻🧠
