I still don’t have words for the day I finally felt “free.” It has been 2 long, painful years of recovery and growing pains at the same time. The universe forced me to shed every layer of the “Good Girl” conditioning that I thought would keep my marriage alive, my wallet filled, my business booming, friends and family around…

Being the “Good Girl” kept the abuse hidden, blaming myself for the assaults that happened, chronic illness alive, and my soul desperately searching for peace.

The peace never came.

Two years later I can finally breathe a sigh of relief despite everything else being so fragile & constantly under threat. But I can breathe. I have found my independence even if it cost me everything.

Another day, another fabulous $5 thrift find. Gimme ALL the bright colors.

I've been slowly swapping out my old clothes for new, "bold" pieces. Colors and styles I never would've gone for even a year ago.

I had the urge to purge all of my old clothes, since their energy is just heavy & have so many associations (good and terrible) with them.

Out with the old, in with the new. These bright colors make me feel so much more alive. 10/10 recommend for starting over & healing from abuse. It's been a key in reconnecting with my body & creativity.
