We're so excited to welcome Anne Esse to our 2026-2027 clinical intern program at Sustainable Wellness! 🎉
Anne Esse is a Master’s Level Clinical Intern pursuing her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University, and working under the supervision of Stephanie Berry, LCSW. Anne believes that while life’s challenges are heavy, they also bring profound opportunities for positive change. With this in mind, her work is rooted in a social justice and queer-affirming lens, focusing on helping you navigate wounds that show up in your current communication, intimacy, and relationships. By integrating her own lived experience - including being a single mother, being part of a blended family and a survivor of intimate partner violence - alongside her training, Anne creates a trauma-informed space that honors every part of your identity.
Anne works with individuals, couples, and families, bringing an approach that is integrative and one that draws from various evidence-based trauma modalities including narrative therapy. Her family systems perspective looks beyond symptoms to understand how life experiences and relationships shape your survival strategies, helping you transform old patterns and break cycles that can be passed down through generations.
With a background in creative problem-solving and teaching, Anne brings extensive experience in clarifying complex issues and navigating life transitions to her work as a therapist. She offers a steady, insightful presence that empowers you to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
