Everybody wanna talk about prison like it’s just chains ⛓️ and shame 😔
But let me tell you something… 👀✨
Some of the realest love ❤️🔥 I ever felt was behind a gate 🚪🔒
Yeah, I missed home 🏡💭
Yeah, I laid on that bunk 🛏️ staring at the ceiling thinking about what I lost 😞💔
Yeah, the world kept spinning 🌍⏳ without me
But inside those walls? 🧱👀
We built our own world 🌎✨
Broken women 💔
Broken hearts 🥀
Broken pasts 🕰️
And we still laughed 😂❤️
We cooked family meals 🍜🍗 out of commissary like it was Thanksgiving 🍽️🦃❤️
We did karaoke 🎤🎶 like we were headlining a concert 🌟🔥
We did each other’s hair 💇🏽♀️💄 like we owned a beauty shop 💅🏽✨
We taught each other how to dance 💃🏽🎶
Some of us learned how to pray 🙏🏽✨ for the first time
We reacted to that “Turn Back Time” video ⏪🎶 like we were free 🕊️ for three minutes ⏳💫
And in those three minutes? We were 😌🕊️✨
You wanna know what prison really is? 🤔
It’s women who have nothing left… 😞
still finding a way to give each other everything ❤️🤝🏽
It’s hugs 🤗 after court dates ⚖️💔
It’s passing a note 📝 when somebody can’t stop crying 😭💔
It’s laughing so hard 😂 you forget you’re locked up 🔒
The outside world kept moving 🌍⏳
But inside? We were surviving 💪🏽
Growing 🌱✨
Becoming 🦋💫
Those years weren’t wasted 🚫⏳
They stripped the ego 🪞💔
They exposed the trauma 🧠💭
They forced the healing ❤️🩹✨
And those friendships? 🤝🏽❤️
Built without money 💸❌
Without clout 🚫📸
Without filters 🚫✨
Just raw souls 🫀 in survival mode 💯🔥
Don’t you dare let anybody tell you those years didn’t matter ❌🗣️
They mattered 💯❤️
They molded you 🛠️✨
They made you dangerous 🔥⚡ in the best way
Because when you’ve found joy 😌✨ in a cage 🔒…
there ain’t nothing out here 🌍 that can break you 💪🏽🔥
