A few weeks ago, we had an incredible time at our 2025 ENT Residency Alumni Event in Indianapolis! It was truly inspiring to reconnect with our amazing alumni, share memories, and celebrate their remarkable achievements.

We’re so proud of the lasting impact our graduates continue to make in advancing patient care and shaping the future of otolaryngology.

Here’s to the continued success of our alumni who make a difference in patients’ lives every day!

In 2002, we became the very first Golisano Children's Hospital.
Today, we are honored to help announce the formation of the new Golisano Children's Alliance!🎉

The Golisano Children's Alliance is a network of 10 connected children's hospitals across eight states working together to expand services, broaden collaboration, and ensure children and families have access to the highest quality care close to home.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Tom Golisano, who has changed and saved countless lives through his remarkable support of pediatric healthcare. For over two decades, we have been able to grow, innovate, and provide exceptional care for our patients — thanks to Tom's vision and enduring commitment.

Connecticut Children's, Penn State Health Children's Hospital, UK Kentucky Children's Hospital, University of Maryland Golisano Children's Hospital, UVM Children's Hospital, WVU Medicine Children's... welcome to the Golisano Children's Hospital family!

Jordan Pauley, a second-year medical student at the University of Rochester with an interest in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, recently completed an eight-week summer research rotation. Her project focused on identifying factors that influence the timely completion of the newborn hearing screening process.

Jordan presented her findings at the Medical Student Research Poster Session and has submitted her work for consideration at the 2026 American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) meeting.

We’re proud to see future leaders in ENT advancing research that supports early hearing care for newborns! 👏

Earlier this month, Lisa Valasek, Pete Sullivan, and Lindsay Schwab—along with collaborators from ATOS Medical—hosted 12 speech-language pathologists from across the country for a Tracheoesophageal Prosthesis (TEP) Management Training Course held October 3–4.

The two-day event featured didactic training sessions and an afternoon of hands-on TEP management with 12 incredible and courageous laryngectomy patients from our Head and Neck Surgery practice.

The course participants were rockstars—just like our patients—and the experience was truly rewarding for everyone involved. It was also a fantastic opportunity to showcase Wilmot, our NCI-designated Cancer Institute, and to highlight the expertise of three of our surgeons who participated in a lunch Q&A during Friday’s program.
