What better way to begin the new year than by reflecting on Divine Love?

Today, we join Isha Das at the Assisi Temple to reflect on the message he shared at our Christmas Service. Because we are of God, love is our truest nature and the most powerful force in all of creation. Love always wins. The more we give ourselves to love each day, the more we belong to love—and the more fully we live.

To remind us that we do not embody Divine Love alone, Isha Das closes with true stories of the angels and saints whose love supports us. May we hold our hearts open to love in this new year of 2026 and beyond. Happy New Year.

What better way to begin the new year than by reflecting on Divine Love?

Today, we join Isha Das in the Assisi Temple to revisit the message he offered at our Christmas Service. Because we are of God, love is our truest nature—and the most powerful force in all of creation. Love always wins.

As we step into 2026, this reflection invites us to give ourselves more fully to love each day. The more we belong to love, the more fully we live. To remind us that we do not embody Divine Love alone, Isha Das closes with true stories of the angels and saints whose love continues to support and guide us.

May we each hold our hearts open to love in this new year and beyond.

Today’s Gospel Reflection: The Flight into Egypt

Today’s Gospel recounts the harrowing story of the Holy Family’s flight into Egypt—a family completely human, completely vulnerable, and yet sustained by Divine Love.

In this reflection, Isha Das explores how Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are not only figures of salvation history, but mirrors of our own inner lives. How can each of us carry an inner Holy Family? What roles are we being asked to live faithfully in our own time?

This reflection invites us to recognize the sacred within our embodied families—and within ourselves.

May God bless each one of our families, and may we grow in awareness of the holy family within.

Today’s Gospel recounts the harrowing story of the Holy Family’s flight into Egypt—a family completely human and deeply vulnerable, yet protected by Divine Love. In a profound way, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph belong to each of us.

How can we each carry an inner Jesus, Mary, and Joseph within us? In this week’s reflection, Isha Das explores how the Holy Family reveals who we truly are and how we are called to live out the sacred roles God has given us in our own time.

May God bless each of our embodied families, and may we grow in awareness of the holy family that lives within every heart.

Do you believe in Christmas?

Today, on Christmas Eve, I invite you to continue making the Christmas story your story, the story that shapes your thoughts, imagination, emotions, will, and your entire life. One of the themes of the Christmas stories is upheaval and uncertainty; we see this in the lives of Mary and Joseph. Believing means trusting that God uses everything, even our suffering, to bring about a greater good. Believing the Christmas story also signifies our openness to celestial realms and the blessed angelic beings who intervene in our lives. Believing the Christmas story is living our lives as though God is actually operating within our individual and collective history. Believing is learning to see that God is present even in messiness and in the most humble of circumstances—after all, Jesus was born in a messy, smelly stable. The word salvation essentially means to be healed, and the name Jesus means God saves. Believing the Christmas story is sincerely acknowledging that we need a higher power to save us from the insanity that haunts all of us. Believing is living our lives from the energy of love and living as though love is capable of bringing us to the threshold of another universe which is permeated with truth, beauty, and goodness!

Beloved Christ
How humbling and marvelous
To believe that angels surround me
As they did you.
