Members from a local church, and good friends of us here at Fleming Point, Reverend Marvin Robinson and his wife, Denise, brought a special project to us. Operation Christmas Child is a project bringing Christmas gifts to underserved children. Along with members of the church and participants from Ogden Senior Center, we filled shoeboxes to be distributed this holiday season.

One of our favorite outings is to local theaters. This weekend, our trip to see “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat” was especially memorable. Not only was one of our resident’s grandsons in the play, but one of our residents was, too! Elaine Gitro’s grandson preformed in the play and Steve Cortese sang in the pit! What a truly wonderful production!

Today was a special day at Holiday Fleming Point. We honored our 28 service men and women on this Veterans Day. We are so proud to have so many military veterans and spouses of veterans call Fleming Point home. Chef Mike prepared a delicious meal, complete with homemade cheesecake for dessert. Retired Coast Guard, Paul Pulaski, led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, and reflection. Engage Life Coordinator, Jackie, decorated patriotically, along with the help of our wonderful residents. It was a privilege to honor these amazing people of Fleming Point!

One of our favorite trips is to one of our local casinos! We have several to choose from, and we like to make the rounds each month. Here at Holiday Fleming Point, we are so lucky to have Randy Spillman as our driver! Randy has worked for the Atria family for many years, as have his wife and daughter. This is a family affair for Randy, and he considers all of our residents his extended family, as well. He does a great job and takes such good care of all of us! Thank you for all you do, Randy!

Birds, birds, birds! We welcomed Morgan Eagle Falconry to Fleming Point. We met, fed, and held 2 majestic birds. It was truly amazing! We learned about their habitats, routines, personalities ,and more. It was incredible to see these large birds up close and personal!

It's a zoo around here! We took a trip to our local zoo, Seneca Park, and had a wild time. We spent our day walking around to see rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and more. We zoomed around the park on their zoomobile tram, and enjoyed lunch at their restaurant. It was a roaring great day!
