We’re excited to highlight Chris, one of our dedicated Behavior Technicians who brings passion, patience, and heart into every session. 💙

💛 Favorite part of working one-on-one with clients
I love being able to see my clients make progress in their goals because of ABA. What’s awesome about this science is I can literally observe a client advance incrementally in their goals.

🌟 A small moment that made a big impact
One small moment that made an impact on me at TruNorth was having my non-verbal client speak coherent language for the first time! It was so cool to see the result of all the practice we have been doing.

📚 Favorite strategy or activity during sessions
My favorite activity with clients is Circle Time reading. I like to share my reading interests with kids and get them engaged in a relaxing, but productive activity.

🏡 How Chris recharges after a day of helping others
At home, I enjoy going for long walks, learning to cook new dishes with my wife, and game on my PC.

I’m a fan of iced coffee. Having a cup of coffee is a game-changer when it comes to being charged for a full day of sessions.

I like spending my time outside of work with my family regardless if its staying at home and having a movie/game night or having a night out!

I love to unwind after work by taking my 2 dogs on a walk with my husband. 🚶‍♀️🐕🐕❤️

“I love working one-on-one with clients because you can give them your complete attention. Pairing with a client is one of my favorite parts — being goofy together, learning what makes them happiest, and recognizing even the smallest behavior changes. That kind of connection only happens in a one-to-one setting.”

💫 A small moment that made a big impact:
“When one of my clients manded by saying ‘jump.’”

🧩 A strategy or activity you love using during sessions:
“I love prompt fading — watching a client begin to grasp a skill from the very beginning is amazing.”

🎬 How do you unwind after a day of helping others?
“My go-to show to de-stress is Bob’s Burgers. I go through phases where I’ll watch the movie on repeat!”

💙 Describe TruNorth’s culture in three words:
Passionate. Welcoming. Supportive.

☕ What keeps you going during your shift?
“8 out of 10 times, it’s an energy drink — specifically Red Bull. My favorites are white peach and juneberry. But on some early mornings, nothing beats an iced coffee.”

“My favorite part of working one-on-one with clients is getting to know who they are and building a bond while having the ability to watch them grow.”

What’s a small moment that’s made a big impact on you at TruNorth?
“A small moment at TruNorth that made a big impact on me was when I had my first big moment with a client that made me feel great about the work I was doing and pushed me to look into furthering my education into the field of ABA.”

What’s one strategy or activity you love using during sessions?
“A strategy that I like to use during sessions is finding something my client thinks is funny and making them laugh to encourage them — which always brings a smile to my face.”

How do you like to unwind or recharge after a day of helping others?
“To unwind after work I like to read, craft, bake, or play tennis with friends.”

If you could describe TruNorth’s culture in three words, what would they be?
“Collaborative, supportive, and family.”

Coffee, tea, or energy drink — what keeps you going during your shift?
“To keep me going during a shift I go back and forth between an iced latte or an Enlighten Mint yerba mate.”
