A new shirt design will be going out to honor two of the greats from the East Coast Custom Car World. Les Dunham and Sonny Croughn.

Hopefully we can see at least one more collaboration from two giants. There is talk, albeit at a whisper.

Les Dunham made cinema history with the creation of the Superfly cars. Les is a master of steel and chrome fabrication.

Sonny Croughn dazzled the world with some of the most unique paint designs, color combinations and fabricated modifications.

A sad time for a good friend.

There comes an awkward time in everyone's career when they have to take a serious step back and view everything that's happening around them. Some of you may have heard or read, Sonny Croughn was involved in a shop incident last evening that may prove to be a career ending event.

Sonny was using a cutting torch and a piece of slag fell and ignited some flammable materials which in turn caused his work clothes to ingnite. A slight delay in extinguishing the flames has lead to severe 3rd degree burns on his lower extremities. Sonny is now faced with a potential amputation.

The after thought message in this disastrous accident is, while Sonny found his life calling in the car customizing and painting world, no one should ever become so comfortable that they forget to about safety. After 60 years in the business, a life of flirting with disaster preforming some of what he would call the craziest stunts, who would have thought that it would be one of the most routine tasks that would lead to the most serious of injuries he's experienced in his whole career.

NEVER CONFUSE EXPERIENCE FOR SAFETY!

Please feel free to drop Sonny a Message to let him know your thinking of him. His spirits are a a bit low, but the meds are working and the doctors are doing a great job. He's looking about 3 weeks in Leighigh Valley Burn Unit and a long recovery.
