I used to think I was just bad at coping.

Everyone else seemed to handle midlife just fine, but I was wide awake at 3 a.m., bloated by breakfast, and crying over commercials by lunch.

The weight wouldn’t budge. My energy was gone. My confidence? Fading fast.
