Never use another person's work without crediting them. This type of theft of intellectual property is what creates a gate-keeper mentality in those who do original work. And gate-keepers are the all-time Jeffreys of the genealogical world.

Giving credit doesn't diminish the end user. Credit for work isn't a zero-sum pie-eating contest. There's always enough pie to go around. It does diminish the end user to commit plagiarism, though.
