CHMRC is proud to welcome Ruta Gebreyesus to the team! Ruta is a public health professional with over six years of experience in applied epidemiology and surveillance analytics. She specializes in leveraging tools such as SAS, R, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and Tableau to build automated data systems, lead complex analyses, and deliver insights that drive positive health outcomes.

Her experience spans the healthcare and public health continuum, including roles at Kaiser Permanente, the CDC, the Georgia Department of Public Health, and the Alameda County Department of Public Health, where she developed a strong systems-level perspective on population health.

As the Epidemiology Program Manager at CHMRC, Ruta will be committed to advancing data-driven decision-making and bridging her passion for data and health equity for the communities that CHMRC serves. Welcome, Ruta!
